A tale of 2 guns

It was the best of guns. It was the worst of guns. As an officer I hated my M1911, last fired in 1987.

I didn’t want to die with such hatred in my heart, so I went to the range and rented the Springfield 1911 and bought a big box of 45 acp.

I hated it. It hurt my arthritic hands. It made a loud boom that upset my feelings (aw, you know 😂). The kick-back was nasty.

I then took solace in my 43X. Here are my targets, shooting cold, at 5 yards. You should be able to tell which is which by the size of the holes.

PS I have a lot of 45 acp to give away to a good home.

Competition Glock 47

Shot it for about 2 years at USPSA and Action Steel, since I don’t carry it anymore decided to make it look cool (at least to me😂)

Extraction issues

G17 Gen3/SCT Frame/Delta Team slide

I’ve been having this issue where after firing a round the spent casing won’t eject. I changed the extractor to a glock OEM with a new plunger and spring it happens less often but still the same issue. Tried multiple mags of different makes with no luck. No optic installed. Used dummy rounds to replicate what the failure looks like. Spent casing sits in barrel causing failure to feed the next round. The casing doesn’t get stuck either, when I eject the mag and tilt the barrel it just slides out. Any ideas would be appreciated!

i wuold like to buy my first handgun. can you guys give me some advice

I’m about to turn 18 and I’m starting to get interested in the world of handguns. For now, I’m mainly focusing on learning about specifications and technical terms.

It’s important to keep in mind that I live in Italy, and I would keep the firearm at home for personal defense while also going to the shooting range every weekend.

I’m looking for either a DA/SA handgun or a striker-fired one, preferably with a magazine capacity of more than 15 rounds, chambered in 9x19mm or .45 ACP.

Some models I’ve been considering are the: Sig Sauer P226, Glock 19 Gen 5, Smith & Wesson M&P 2.0, and the Sig Sauer P320 Full Size.

I’m sure there are probably other great options that I haven’t mentioned, so if you could give me some advice and recommend a few models, I’d really appreciate it. Thank you very much.

I need help identifying this gun my brother has.

My brother recently found this weapon and i was curious to know more about it.

We live in Brazil, Rio Grande do Sul (maybe that will help in finding the manufacturer).

I suppose it's that Argentinian pistol called Zonda, but I'm not sure.

Worth the money? Or just save for something else. (Not my first firearm)

Should I grab this? It's the "daily deal". Over half off. I have a few Hi Point pistols. Yc9, yc380, a Sig p320 flux raider legion, a few ARs, a few ARPs.

Can't get much for 230 bucks now a days. A few groceries, maybe a decent pair of shoes. What say ye?

Echelon with Sharps Bros Grip

Not an inexpensive upgrade, but MY GOD the Sharps Bros grip module is SO much better than the stock polymer module. The weight feels great and it looks amazing, but the ergonomics of this grip are so comfortable. Easily one of the most comfortable guns I’ve held and shot. Highly recommend!

TLR7 HLX light and Atibal STD V2 enclosed dot. Have the Apex guide rod en route, as well as some metal mag extensions to complete the vibe!

How is my accuracy?

1st time shooting my own gun and 4th range trip (others are rentals and probably totalling 350 rounds)

I’m using a G19.6 and these are untimed but probably around 1 -1.5 secs apart. 15 rounds each head and center. How am I doing
