Enough na ba 20-25k to purchase a brand new Aircon plus installation? Ang dami po nag comment and referred me to check Fair n Square and I will be checking their Manila branch. Help please? Sakto na kaya to? May Nakita ako na TCL brand eh worth 17k for 1.5hp full DC sa website nila. Is this a good brand? I also saw other brands na 1.5hp na lower 20k will include it sa photos below. Please help me decide with the right brand. Ang other prob ko po is kung kasya na kaya 20 to 25k? May installation kaya sila and how much po inabot nyo magpainstall? May abang na wiring dito if want magpa AC sa unit namin.

Portable Aircon recommendation please

Thank you!!

I need help because Im very confused in AC units now idk what to get

Hi! This is me adulting for the first time and I need AC advice 😭

One of the MOST important things for me is electricity cost efficiency. I’m okay with paying more upfront for a good inverter AC because I can save up for it little by little, including installation and other costs. What I’m more worried about is the MONTHLY electric bill. I really don’t want an extra ₱3k+ monthly bill because I already have other expenses to think about. Ideally, I want something that would maybe only add around ₱1k–₱1.5k monthly if possible.

My room is REALLY small. It’s an attic-style room with a slanted ceiling, and the ceiling also isn’t very high. It does get warm in the afternoon, but not “super oven hot” because the walls are concrete and the ceiling seems insulated naman.

I work from home, so I’m almost always inside my room. My setup is very minimal:

laptop

monitor

tablet

phone charging That’s basically it.

I originally wanted the Carrier Aura Split Type Inverter Price: ₱39,800.00 because I like the eco/smart features (like sensors, timers, sleep mode, etc.). I also like the idea of it automatically adjusting power once the room is already cool.

BUT my problem is:

split-type units look physically big

my ceiling is slanted

I honestly don’t know where to place it

I’m worried a 1 HP unit might be overkill for my tiny room

My sister recently bought a 1 HP inverter AC for her room, but her room is literally around 3–4x bigger than mine, and she told me I could probably survive with just 0.5 HP.

For context:

My room is around 6–9 sqm with a slanted attic ceiling.

I don’t like freezing cold rooms

I prefer “comfortable cool”

I’ll probably keep the AC on most of the day because I work from home

but I plan to use timers/sleep mode at night

maybe something like auto-off around 1 AM then back on around morning

I honestly don’t know the difference anymore between:

split type inverter

window inverter

what HP is actually enough for my room

Would really appreciate advice from people who have tiny rooms or attic rooms 😭

Main priorities:

Low monthly electricity bill

Comfortable cooling, not super freezing

Good inverter efficiency for long daily use

Something practical for a very small attic-style room

I am tempting to buy for my room. Yun nga lang, some of my colleagues sa work ay saying na sirain daw yung Samsung TVs. How true is that? My only options are Sony (tried and tested ko na ito) and Samsung (dahil sa deals nila at naka Samsung Galaxy rin ako).

Nakapagsurvey na po yung abenson sa amin and they recommended to get 1.5hp. Hindi ko nalang po alam which brand/model to get since ang daming maganda.

These are my top 2 choices, Panasonic PU and Carrier Aura.

Medyo mas pricey ang Carrier Aura pero kung mas matipid siya sa kuryente, mababawi naman yung price difference in the long run. (Break even)

Panasonic PU naman is mas malakas daw ang throw ng hangin (aerowings yata tawag sa feature) which is better if you have a loft bed. It's also cheaper upfront so that's a plus.

Any input will be appreciated. Thanks po

Panasonic standard inverter or Kolin Certus AI

Please help me decide what I should buy!!

Panasonic is around - 33k
Kolin - 31k

Both 1.HP. Leaning more towards kolin because it is dual inverter. However, our household has been an avid user of Panasonic. Is Kolin worth buying? Please share your thoughts and experiences with these units po 🙏🏻

Blackout curtain reco

Hello, any recos po for blackout curtain na makapal. Thanks

Current namin na aircon is Hitachi window type. Plan namin mag upgrade into inverter but can't decide between window or split type. Kung switch to split type, worth it ba tapalan ulit yung pader ng hollow block?

- eer rating

- pagpapalamig ng roughly 8sqm na bedroom

- top and side ang sunlight (tustado sa araw)

- may dalawang monitor at 1 laptop for wfh set up

- 2 big cabinets

- maintenance

- dagdag sa kuryente

- aftersales

- warranty

HELP ME DECIDE GUYYYYS

EDIT:

So, I am down to 2 units only.

I used gemini to compare the Midea unit to Kolin Creo.

So all in all, as per Gemini, Kolin Creo is the best choice in terms of EER rating, longevity, and cooling capacity.

However, since there is no other place for me to place the unit, only direct to sunlight, facing north west, Gemini said Midea is a better choice because of its HyperGraph Fin or specialized coating on the outdoor condenser fins.

Which one y'all think?

Pst, regardless of the two, I'll also be installing a mini awning on top of the unit.

Laptop for Work recommendations

Hi!! I'm starting a new work on Monday and I'm planning to get a new laptop for tomorrow cause it's a remote job and hindi nagpprovide ng equipment yung company.

For context, my daily tasks would include zoom calls and administrative tasks like patient scheduling and other stuff pa.

I looked around and I'm leaning towards Lenovo as a brand, but I'm open to other brands too.

The features I'm generally looking for are:
- good quality webcam
- great cooling system so it won't heat up mostly
- i5-i7 core
- budget around 50k~ish

I'm not really tech savvy and just went with whatever laptop models are available around me especially during college, hehe. Please help! Thank you!

Planning to buy an inverter split type aircon.

Hello, I’m planning to buy a split type aircon inverter para mapalitan yung old window type sa room ko.

I’m currently using Carrier 0.5 non inverter aircon from my old room and yung room ko is around 10 sqm lang naman kaso mataas ceiling kasi may mezzanine siya.

I’m stuck between good brands like Carrier, Panasonic, LG and budget friendly like American Homes, TCL and other cheaper brands.

What I’m after sana is for the long run and energy efficient.

By the way I’m not a heavy user naman. Mostly night and pag weekends lang mejo nabababad dahil may work naman ako pag weekdays.

Thanks for the advice in advance!

Thank you in advance!

Hello po! I am planning to buy my AC next week and ang namamatahan ko po talaga is yung Carrier Aura Split type, Full DC inverter na 1.5 hp. Any tips po?

Any recommendations for team activities we can book around BGC?

Any recommendations for team activities we can book around BGC?

For context, our boss from Australia is coming over and she wants to organize an activity for our team. We’re only 5 pax, so probably something fun but not too chaotic 😅

Open to anything honestly , workshops, food-related activities, games, chill experiences, etc. Preferably something around BGC and easy to book for a small group.

Would love to hear suggestions from people who’ve actually tried them!
