Peeling from hand foot and mouth
This is what my hands look like after having hand foot and mouth. I had a pretty severe case of it so I'm not sure if everyone looks like this afterward or not. I knew my skin would peel but I didn't know it would be so much at once. I literally feel like a reptile 🥴
More from hand foot and mouth healing
I posted another one after I took a shower but here my skin is after drying the next morning. If I wait another day or 2 I feel like I could probably take it off like gloves 😭🫠 the pictures don't even do it justice.
My head itches.
I try to leave my scalp alone but sometimes I just can feel something there and need to scratch 🥲 I know its bloody but I’m really not scratching that hard - it’s psoriasis. not sure if the topical steroid I was prescribed has been doing all that much, but I still have a few weeks until my follow up. Appalled and fascinated by how the scales look
My toenail just fell off
So I remember now I had worn some really tight boots to an event in December and then I noticed just 2 months back like in March, that my toenail had started to become white, but everything else was normal, my family said it's prolly just some deficiency it'll just outgrow. Today I had just taken a bath and I was cutting my nails, that's when I saw my toenail just detached from its bed and I could see underneath it. I carefully removed all the part that was already dead and left only a small part that's still attached to the nail. I see new nail growing underneath but why are they in three different layers at three different heights. The bottom one, which is the smallest one is the thickest meanwhile the both upper ones are very fragile like a thin paper. What should I do to ensure my toenail grows back to normal. I am someone who keeps my feet and hands groomed all the time, so how long can I expect for my nail to grow back to normal and in the meanwhile can I use press ons pr something else
Scab 2 of 2
Me again - the other scab that had been lingering for weeks finally fell off, and after the most insane 6 months of my life - a broken ankle, a bone infection, 2 surgeries, 3 emergency room visits, a week spent in the hospital, having a PICC line placed/removed and 4 different kinds of antibiotics - my surgery site is almost completely closed and healed. There’s a tiny spot of very new, raw looking skin where this last scab fell off that still needs some protection, so I’ve got a bandaid on that. Looks like I’ll be able to swim this summer after all 🥹
Getting a good, big piece is sooo satisfying! This is me trying my best. Sorry it’s so short. Looking forward to the summer so I can do it again 😅
