Garden pots?
Besides painting some terracotta pots, what else else can be used as patio pots?
Here EU our garden centers only have boring neutral colors which I dislike.

It's long been a dream of mine to have my own garden and work towards self sustainability.
I'm a long way off, but today I got my very first garden and I've decided to document my introduction to the insanity of nature-first crop gardening. Taking an already lovely garden, and turning it into a food production powerhouse (whilst respecting the bees)
Come along, give it a watch, let me know what you think?
I visited a winter store to buy cotton gloves two days ago. I wanted something affordable and warm. I also wanted discounts. But when I checked the gloves I felt disappointed. Some looked good but prices were high. Some discounts were not real. I could not trust them. I could not decide confidently.
Then I visited another shop in the same area. Some gloves looked better but discounts were small. Some were affordable but not warm enough. Some seemed perfect at first but stitching was weak. I remembered I bought cotton gloves last winter that wore out quickly. That made me hesitate even more.
To check more variety and options while scrolling many online marketplaces including alibaba I found many cotton gloves. Some looked warm and discounted. Some were simple and low price. Some had better deals and durability. There were many options available. This made me excited but also confused again.
Now I am thinking should I buy cotton gloves online for discounts or trust local stores for durability? What would you do in my place?
A little off topic but what is everyone using to repel the spiders ? I have wood patio set .
I noticed two of them the other day, I looked it up and it says as long as their no children or pets around it’s safe & it’s good for my plant (bird of paradise).
It’s a few days later and there’s a lot more, should I remove them?
(OC) Collected Canna Seeds are really hard. I nicked them with a nail clipper and sprouted these with wet paper towels. Took about 3 weeks to sprout. Today I potted them in rich soil and placed in a sheltered spot outside. My fingers are crossed 🤞
Hi. I have a 2x2m north facing area covered with mulch and some small plants. This is in front of my front door with Lots of direct sunlight. Thinking of something low maintenance, not too tall and not too much water requirement in the middle like Dwarf Peace Olive Bambalina or Swan Hill. Any recommendations? Thank you.
Hello Global Gardeners!
I'm reaching out in the hopes that a few of you will be open to taking a survey about gardening and time management.
I'm collecting primary research for my Masters program, but the subject is personally relevant to me.
I am a hobbyist gardener in a condo with limited outdoor grow space on two patios. I grow seasonal vegetables and herbs in planters from March to October in the peak grow periods of the Pacific Northwest.
Sun exposure periods, planter rotations, and optimal space use have all been areas in which I've personally invested countless time and resources to plan. I'm interested in home ownership within the next 5 years and that involves expanding my garden and yard planning.
My goal: I want to find the biggest issues faced by homeowners and/or gardeners.
The questions in the survey include demographics like age, education, income and home ownership, as well as the use of time and money on gardening or yard projects. It takes 5 minutes and would help me so much!
Thank you for your time!
And Happy Spring Gardening Everyone!
