Jee second partial drop Advice

Jee second partial drop Advice

Hii!!!

I got 81%le in my drop year.

But I know i can do better, so I am deciding to take second partial drop as my parents wont be affirmative for a full second drop.

I am now trying to get a college throught MHTCET.

I somewhere read that colleges take full four year fee if we leave that college after one year, So if that so then please help me.

Also guide me and i will be reporting here everyday after 16 may as my mhtcet exam is on 15 may.

If Any other second partial dropper is there then also we can help each other.

As a successful partial dropper senior , i want to tell all the aspiring partial droppers to not take partial drop

Rule 1 Dont take partial drop

Rule 2 Read rule 1

Either go college or take full drop

97.6 percentile in Jan attempt → lost momentum after boards/got demotivated. Considering partial drop from VNIT Chemical or IIIT Nagpur CSE. Need serious guidance

Hey everyone, I really need some honest guidance from people who have actually gone through a partial drop and succeeded (or even failed and learned from it). My best attempt this year was 97.6 percentile in Session 1. After that, boards came up and honestly I completely lost momentum. I was surrounded by people who had almost given up on JEE, got influenced badly, started wasting time playing games, stopped taking Advanced seriously, and overall ruined the consistency I had built. Lately it hit me that I basically sabotaged my own preparation. Right now I’m again giving my 100%, but I genuinely don’t know whether I’ll even qualify/perform well in Advanced anymore. At the moment I’m thinking of either: Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology Nagpur Chemical or Indian Institute of Information Technology Nagpur CSE and then maybe taking a partial drop for JEE 2027. A little about my prep: Was in ALLEN Career Institute classroom program in 11th–12th I still have all Allen modules Physics: moderate/decent (scored around 70 marks in physics in both attempts) Maths: comparatively strong (98.7 percentile in maths with 44 marks) Organic chemistry: very weak Biggest issue honestly = consistency + environment + discipline after Jan attempt I wanted to ask partial droppers who improved significantly: Was partial drop worth it for you mentally and academically? How hard is it to manage college + JEE together realistically? Between VNIT Chemical and IIIT Nagpur CSE, which would be better for a partial drop environment/workload? Since time is limited in a partial drop, which resources should I strictly stick to? Are Allen modules + PYQs enough if used properly? Did you completely avoid lectures during partial drop or still watch them for weak topics? Biggest mistakes you made during your partial drop? How did you avoid burnout/FOMO/college distractions? How many hours did you genuinely study daily while in college? Is improving from ~97.5 percentile to a strong NIT/top rank realistically possible in a partial drop? Also if someone improved especially in organic chemistry during partial drop, please guide me on: teachers/resources revision strategy question practice approach And lastly, if anyone here secured a really good percentile/rank through a partial drop, I’d genuinely appreciate any roadmap/advice/reality check. I don’t want to repeat the same mistakes again.

95.26 percentile, does partial dropping make sense

Geometry, pnc, binomial, probability and random miscellaneous topics are extremely weak,

In Physics, thermodynamics, fluids, heat transfer, calorimetry, and rotation are weak

In ioc block chemistry, redox titration, ionic equilibrium are weak,

Organic chemistry, and rest topics are pretty much strong, I DIDN'T DO PYQ'S FROM A SINGLE CHAPTER THIS YEAR and relied only on some class notes and mocks

Is there any scope of improvement?

Pls suggest colleges

please suggest some good private colleges where taking a partial drop is possible, and if I leave the college later, I won’t have to pay the full 4 years’ fees

Background: 12thie, got 97.2 percentile in S2, now preparing for BITSAT.
Some people might consider this a good percentile but I feel it isn't enough for me. Currently I'm getting a good tier 2 collage in my state(Gujarat), Nirma University. If BITSAT dosen't go well I want to take a partial drop. I want to study mainly for advance in that time and give jee mocks in Jan, if any partial droppers are reading this please guide me. I want my primary target to be advance so that I can fulfill the IIT dream that I failed at.

I also can't take a full drop since I know I will not study(I have not been seriously studying since last 2 months), a change of environment would greatly help

Gotta take a second drop year coz of financial issues not getting any edu loan also coz of weak income profile and no property collateral sorted. Or shall I take admission in a tier 3 college and skillmax which seems difficult coz I think if I wait a year I think I'll get better college with good placement thinking of giving comedk also in this year after studying and also skills maxing in this year

I am taking a partial drop while studying in the ECE branch at a tier 3 private college. My college will start in August, and I’ll try to complete 80% of the syllabus by then. Is taking a partial drop with the ECE branch manageable?

Context: I took 12th boards this year and as jee adv is getting closer I am starting to consider taking a partial drop as opposed to a full drop because using college predictors I figured I am getting ECE branch in NIT Rourkela and I don't want to throw away that opportunity. From other posts I have gathered that ECE is quite tough and time consuming.

Question: Is it possible to manage advanced oriented jee prep while studying ECE? Will I get atleast 7-8 hrs for jee prep on regular days assuming I stay disciplined enough in first and second semester of ECE?

I am grateful for any help that comes my way.
