Hello everyone and excuse me if I'm not posting in the right place or forum.

Someone pulled up to my gate around 39th street and 4th Avenue, in Brooklyn, smoked a joint of something then threw this bicycle on the floor and walked away, leaving behind a perfectly good Trek 7.2 FX. It rides and brakes well, leading me to an assumption that it's most likely stolen. However, whether it is or isn't, it's taking up space, I'll keep it in my storage for a couple/few more weeks and will give it away to a charity or a non-profit if I can't locate the owner.

Must be able to prove ownership by unlocking the lock! Although I'm flexible on this criteria and will accept other believable method of proof of ownership.

If anyone can recommend a better resource for returning a stolen/lost bicycle I will appreciate it. I don't want a reward or anything else, just come get it if it's yours, offers to sell for any amount will be met with profanity.
