Here’s my Tomos racing 45 (the uk version of the Arrow I think?) I’ve fitted an Airsal 65cc kit with some light porting, basically just cleaned up the poor casting marks and polished the exhaust port, made them slightly bigger but barely, a Technigas Next R pipe, a twin port airbox and a 17.5mm carb with an 85 main jet, I played around with different jets and found an 80 to run a little lean and the 85 was slightly on the rich side but looks safe (I need to order more jets but I’m thinking an 83 main will be ideal) gearing is standard and so are the clutches and the cdi, it pulls way better than it did when standard, I bought the bike as a none runner and I got it running with the standard setup before modifying, it ran poorly but managed around 27mph, after doing all of this to it I’ve got it running well with the new setup but it still only tops out at around 32-33mph, I get that the gearing is the same but I feel like it should’ve increased in top speed by more than 5-6mph? Just wondering if there is anything else I should’ve done along the way, I don’t really want to lose much acceleration but 40-45mph would be nice, thanks in advance
