So, I found a 3DS in some storage unit I bought a while back. On the 3DS was nothing but one game called “Tomodachi Island”. Now, I’m familiar with Tomodachi Life and Tomodachi Collection, but what the hell is Tomodachi Island? Well, after a bit of digging on Reddit, I found out it was some cancelled European exclusive version of the game, with its own soundtrack and everything. I decided to boot up the game, and found one singular mii on the island. He looked like the standard male mii, except he had large square glasses, gray pupils, and a frown. He spoke in a very robotic, deadpan tone, and honestly creeped me out. He had a question bubble over his head, so I popped it and he said something along the lines of “she’s in the closet”. He did not have a closet in his room. There were only two options;checking the closet, or letting him be scared. I chose the first option. A closet then appeared on my screen, and I used my fat finger to open the closet (after some trial and error), and put popped a mii that looked like the base female except it had no mouth, eyes, eyebrows, or nose. Its name was Who, and it looked right at me and said, “you are not Doll. Delete this save. Don’t trust it.” Don’t trust it? Doll was the person who I bought the storage unit from, but who is it? Why does this mii want me to delete the save? Before I could think more, I’m booted to the mii maker, where there’s a mii already made. All black skin, no hair, no nothing, except for two menacing eyes. This mii was called “It”. It didn’t let me do anything, and forced It onto my island. It the asked me for Tutorial. Tutorial was the name of the first mii, the one with the glasses. Who did tell me not to trust It, so instead, I gave it an apple. It didn’t let not eat it, instead, it shut down the 3DS. When I turned it back on, it showed only Tutorial standing in a dark room, that could only be described as a creepy abandoned classroom. Tutorial turns around, looking mortified, and says; “Please. Destroy the console. Destroy it and end my suffering. Kill me. Kill me kill me kill me kill me…” it continued. I grabbed a hammer and started to smash the 3DS until it began to smoke, which is when I threw it out of my window. Since then, I haven’t encountered anything like that, and have been too scared to play any mii game. And with the release of Tomodachi life:living the dream, it had just simply brought up these old memories, which shock me to my core.
