imagine salit salit na f2f and online class. nawawala momentum ko magaral. parang mas nakakapagod pa yung ganito kaysa yung dating setup

I’m a first year in mapua intra and have yet to familiarize myself with all the common practices here. Even if it’s already the third term and I’m already aware of exams done via lockdown browser with Mapua Wifi as its parameter, it’s my first time encountering login problems with the internal site to access the wifi connection.

On the day of my calc exam at 7:00 AM up to 7:15 AM, I still couldn’t login to access the wifi. So me and at least 7 of my peers ran to the DOIT office within the admin building and had to form a line since only 1 tech assistant was available. Then when I finally have access to the exam, I only had 20 mins remaining on the clock. WHAT’S WORSE is that the points in our test is mostly from our solutions (not the answers itself kasi 1 point lang pag tama ung sagot pero walang solution) so I couldn’t bullshit my answers either way. Of course, di naman ako alien kaya half lang ng items ung nasagutan ko.

It’s just so disheartening to know that you flopped in an exam that’s worth 15% of your final grade because of some stupid technical issue.

SANA MAY GYM TAU SA CAMPUS ppl are prolly gonna say walang kwenta toh but honestly if we’re this overworked plus rarely even getting to work out sana meron sa campus

I myself don’t even exercise alot but I do plan to and want to have js a better general physical health. Di ata ganun kadami athletes natin here? Sure whatever but it can help the students js build a generally healthier lifestyle by staying fit/healthy

Theres definitely ways for us to work out at home or outside pero our living and environmental areas aren’t always the best (some areas may have more smoke, smaller roads, costly gyms etc.)

Hello, I’m an incoming freshie. I need tips and advice, I already selected my schedule and most of the time my subjects are succession, from online class to f2f without a break. How do you cope up with this kind of set-up? and how do you not get late 😭 specially that there is no in between breaks?

Is it just me pero like bakit everyweek may mga pinapasubmit unlike the past sems ang simula palang ny busy ay usually 1 month before finals pero bat parang finals na tong na fefeel ko i have classes ng monday to sat f2f then yung sunday na pahinga parang 1hr lang tapos sa monday naman kahit online may online class or like same day may pinapasubmit same goes the days after everyday may pinapasubmit nalang like girl pagod na ako like this is hell like wtf 😭😭😭😭 and a week after quiz tapos a week nanaman quiz then plates sabay sabay like tehh ate koo dko na to keri parang onti nalang papa sama na ako kay satanas

hi! sorry its me again 😭 may nabasa kasi ako recently here and i have some questions abt mapua. afaik may orientation naman n such, kinakabahan lang ako so i wanna know abt things na.

1. umulan bumagyo may klase pa rin daw or gagawing online class, pero may nabasa ako na ‘di rin naman natutuloy mag oc. what’s the truth? and lahat po ba ng profs ganoon?
2. online exam w lockdown browser. ik the browser alr kasi i took the mpass na. but yung online exam, how does that work? depende ba sa prof kung sa bahay mo na lang ittake yung exam since online? may nabasa rin kasi ako na nagdadala sila laptop sa mapua tapos doon sila magtake ng exam. then may rants na pangit wifi and such, bawal po ba sariling mobile data kung ganoon? also, kung sa campus naman ittake ang online exam, pwede naman siguro lumipat-lipat ng lugar para makasagap ng internet no? hindi yung nasa classroom ka lang mag-eexam.

+++ dagdag ko na rin may sockets naman siguro pag nalowbat laptop? 😭 gaming laptop kasi akin mabilis malowbat :(((

1. enlistment (?) if that’s what u call it. pinaka naguguluhan ako rito. ubusan daw ng sections, pwede paki elaborate how this works? as in di ko talaga ma-gets yang enlistment / enrollment process na yan 🥲 tapos magiging irreg po ata pag wala kang section (?) idk feel free to correct me po.
2. lahat po ba ng profs terror hahahah

May I ask the ff:

1. Paano po yung usage / function ng sites that I mentioned? Like kunwari yung isang site for announcements, the other one naman is to submit outputs or answer activities. Ano po ba ang dapat ko malaman?
2. Naka-bookmark po sakin yung (3) websites sa laptop, okay na po ba ‘yon or do I need to download it pa? If I can download those, pwede naka-sign in yung accounts sa laptop and at the same time sa phone? (multiple devices kumbaga).
3. May mga issues po ba sa sites na ‘yon? Bukod sa nabasa ko na need mo palitan yung password from time to time (?)

ano’ng point pa magbatak sa grades if I already got my singko, eh wala naman na akong makukuhang award sa dulo.

can yall enlighten me on this?? kasi i don’t see in exerting much effort to get an uno grade for courses kung wala rin naman diba?? after getting that singko, i’ve lost all motivation.

I have yet to take the MPASS, pero gravva yung mga threads na nababasa ko dito. Y'all make me second-guess or even beg my mother to let me opt for fully online 😭 (won't let me go full-online because of my terrible social life according to her)

Specifically ito sa mga nasa Makati since I intend to take cybersecurity seeing walang cybersec related course sa mga colleges in my local area. Is it really as bad as I read on the threads or is there at least benefit of taking the shot and gamble my entire life savings on this school?

I really don't wanna opt for comp sci as it doesn't really align much with my plan going forward but let's see..

I think I'll take the risk na... I will enroll na here sa mapua for bscs rather than UST huhu (UST, you will still linger in my mind)
