Vaporwave on SP-404MKII
Does anyone make vaporwave on an SP404? I have the MKII and have been trying to do some vapor stuff on there. Just wondering if anyone else uses their 404 for it? Would love to talk about process.

I've started making sample-free vaporwave (more specifically slushwave). I've been using Diva for most of the instruments and I design in vital sounds when I need something, but I always have a huge problem with making it sound human, this is, is almost always ends up sounding robotic and way too simple, and it's not about the chord progressions because I try to use 80s pop chord progressions to make my melodies. I've tried strumming the chords for example but it doesn't change much, maybe it's about the synths, but I don't have storage space to download for example Asturia V, and it's not about the effects because there I know how to make it sound good, I know how to slush a track well.
Hi
Are there any good Vapor wave drum loop packs around ? I am good making the music just not the drums so much. I pitch down drum loops I use and that somewhat gets the sound I’m after but I know compression and reverb and EQ is also required. I would prefer to just use some loops that have the sound. Windows 96/Home/Voyage is the type of sound I’m after… but something that actually cuts through the mix.
Thanks 🙏
I've recently started my own vaporwave record label, HyperCam Records and am looking for applicants/musicians to accompany the few I have in the roster already.
Entry is free for now (though with my discretion, obviously) and any money that you make will be given to you with a 75% cut (via paypal).
Any kind of vapor is welcome, vaporwave, vaportrap, just general progressive electronic, utopian virtual, general like "internet music" (think DJ rozwell maybe?) etc.
Art can be provided for your music (or not, if you wish) and a blurb will be written detailing any new albums that get published (you can also write blurbs for other albums, but not your own).
I do intend to create a discord server for applicants if I receive any, so talks of art/creative direction and blurb-writing should be made simple and easy. I also imagine if this picks up steam that we can have label compilations (think em:t) with certain themes, but that bridge can be crossed when it is got to.
Here's the bandcamp link (social media accounts coming soon), as well as some of the music/artists we already have:

If you want to apply, send me a demo and a little bit about yourself as an artist using the subject line "HyperCam Records" in an email to espcubed@gmail.com, as well as if you have any questions.
