I offer a wide range of leather and thread color options, and I can even make a matching keychain to complete your everyday carry.

1620 alternative

Any good 1620 alternatives? Mainly something compared to their utility pant with pockets down both sides. I’ve had way too many issues with 1620 to keep giving them my money. Quality control and longevity have been big issues with everything I’ve bought from them

Question: Crew Neck Polartec Shirts, Semi Custom, Made In USA

I hope that someone can please help me find an American manufacturer that I know exists. I thought I found this company in this sub, but search isn’t helping. I know I visited their website, so the company does exist! It is a very small company that makes pullovers from Polartec in the USA. They have some shirt colors already produced, or you can select different colors of Polartec for the front, back, sleeves, trim, etc. If you select colors, there is a six to eight week lead time. Does anyone know the name of this company? Thank you!

Mirror with Light - Assembled in the USA with Domestic & Imported Parts

My wife needed a small mirror with a light that she could carry in her purse. It's assembled in the USA with domestic and imported parts. Obviously, I would prefer something 100% MiUSA, but this was the best I could find. It also would have been nice if it came with a carry case, but we can buy that separately and hopefully find something 100% US-made.

Here's a link to the mirror in case anyone else is looking.

Restarting Sock Manufacturing

We’re officially restarting sock manufacturing at Armadillo Woolery.

For those who don’t know us — we’re a firefighter-founded company focused on PFAS-Free / FR-Free Merino wool apparel built for first responders, military, tradesmen, and people who are hard on their gear.

Before we lock in future production runs, we wanted to ask the community directly:

What kind of socks do YOU actually want to see made?

Boot socks?
Hot weather socks?
Cold weather socks?
Compression socks?
Extra-heavy cushion?
No-slip station socks?
Long shift EMS/firehouse socks?

A lot of “performance” socks today are loaded with synthetics and chemical treatments. We’re trying to build something tougher, cleaner, and built for real-world use.

Would genuinely appreciate feedback from firefighters, military, EMS, trades, hikers, runners, or anyone who destroys socks for a living.

Drop your ideas below. We’re listening.

USA made rugs

Hey all, have been looking for a rug for a long time and was striking out. Either you get $200 Turkish/Chinese rugs or fork up the $600 plus for a USA made rug. Well we were surprised when the wife and I were shopping at target I couldn’t believe my eyes. About half of the rugs they had in stock on the rack were either USA made or USA with global materials. This is the one we decided to go with and it was only $200. Hope some of you find this useful!

Made in USA - BAM Charcoal

I do not expect this to be new to most people who are deep into grilling, but I came across BAM Charcoal recently so I figured I would share it here anyway.

It is a bamboo-based charcoal made in the USA, focused on high carbon content, low ash, and steady heat for grilling and smoking. BAM Charcoal

Made in USA Children’s Dinnerware

Got a set of some trays, cups, bowls, and silverware for all my nieces and nephews when my family comes over. I tried to find non-plastic MiUSA alternatives but I didn’t exactly fancy spending $300 on a set of wooden plates or $300 on a set of wooden bowls. It was adding up pretty quick. Found these guys, Re-Play, and made my search for something kids can eat off of easy and without breaking my Corelle plates and bowls or my Anchor Hocking glass cups. Re-Play uses recycled milk jugs for all their plastic, so at least it’s not a worse form of plastic. I can’t get away from plastic milk jugs myself, so it’s not the end of the world for my nieces and nephews to eat off of these. I’ll post the link in the comments.

Stanley Closing USA Plant

Did you read the news Stanley was closing a tape measure plant because their imported models were selling better? They said something about the US plant couldn’t print on both sides of the tape.

Smithey Ironware - Made in South Carolina

I got this U.S.-made Smithey cast iron skillet as a gift. I haven't been a huge fan of cast iron in the past--it always seemed like a pain to clean and maintain--but I have to say that I might be starting to become a convert with this skillet. It definitely seems easier to maintain than other ones I have tried, and I really like the look of it. The downside is that it is definitely more expensive than other cast iron products I have seen, but maybe it's worth the price if you're like me and were holding off because of the pain of maintaining them.
