Tried a walking app for a couple of months (Belgium) – here’s my honest take

I’m a 29-year-old from Belgium and I’ve been using this walking app called Macadam for a couple of months now.

I started mostly out of curiosity. I walk a lot anyway (work + gym), so I figured I might as well test if it actually gives something back.

So far I’ve earned around €40+, and I’ve reached gold status in the app. It’s not life-changing money, but it’s also something I didn’t have before for doing the same thing.

What works:

•	Steps track fine for me (I use an Apple Watch)

•	You don’t really need to change your routine

•	Referrals give a noticeable boost

What doesn’t:

•	It’s slow if you only rely on steps

•	Most people quit after a few days

•	You need to be a bit consistent to see results

I also noticed that the first few days are key. If you stick with it past that, it becomes more of a habit.

For me, it’s just a small extra on top of what I already do daily. I wouldn’t rely on it as income, but I also wouldn’t call it useless.

Anyone else here tried walking apps like this? Curious if your experience is similar.

Didn’t expect this from a walking app… €42.67 so far

I started using a walking app (Macadam) a couple of months ago just to test it.

Didn’t expect much, but I’m currently at €42.67 and reached Gold status.

What surprised me most:

•	People actually complete the 3-day validation

•	Referrals make a big difference

•	If you stay consistent, it adds up

I also started doing something extra:

For every referral that completes the 3-day validation, I donate a part of my rewards.

Not huge amounts, but it grows over time and makes it more meaningful.

It’s not life-changing money, but since I already walk and train, it’s basically extra income.

Curious if anyone else here is using similar apps?

Join Macadam and get 1000 coins for signing up!

Otras ventajas:

  • Camina más, mantente sano: Estas apps te motivan a dar pasos diarios sin esfuerzo adicional.
  • Dona recompensas: Algunas apps te permiten donar monedas a organizaciones benéficas.
