There are a lot of upcoming games that have similar gameplay to Loftia, and some that already exist, but the companies that make some of them tend to be mistrustful and they're filled with stuff like gacha and greed (such as Heartopia), so I'm curious if anyone here knows of good alternatives, and I am also wanting to hear what everyone is moving to while we wait. Doesn't even have to be a cozy game. Thanks!

Apologies if this type of post doesn't belong here. I will delete it if so. I saw some similar posts but they are a bit old. I hope everyone enjoyed the beta!

Met some incredibly sweet people in game tonight who made it possible for me to get my capybara 🥹✨ Really makes me excited for the full release of Loftia, the beta was such a wholesome experience and the community is so kind!

Hope you all had a great experience too! 🌱

(Shoutout to Jankz who helped me with my last two quests! You’re the best! 💗)

The Loftia Closed Beta is now over! Here is an update that Mic shared on the official Discord.

>Dear Loftians, that's a wrap! Our Closed Beta 2-week period has come to an end, and servers are now going offline. @everyone

>What a journey it's been!

>When we first started Loftia way back in 2023, we were just 2 people with a crazy big dream: to build the cozy MMO that we wanted to play ourselves. Now, 3 years later, we're now a passionate team of 35! It's been surreal how much things have changed, and to finally bring this Beta version of the game into your hands now.

> Within the team, we've been sharing with each other all of the amazing comments, videos and reviews that everyone's been posting online. Thank you for it all. We've truly loved seeing such encouraging messages, and it's genuinely given us even more energy to pour into further improving Loftia.

>Our work is not done yet

>With that being said, the Beta is just that: a Beta. The game isn't finished yet - there is so much more that we will be improving, deepening and iterating on ahead of our Early Access release, and much of this was the direct result of the playtesting and feedback that has come out of these last 2 weeks. Expect it to be even better the next time you set foot into the world of Loftia!

>Beta Survey

>To all Beta players: we've put together a quick Beta survey. It would be incredibly helpful if you could fill it out and let us know what you loved the most, and what you think needs to be improved or added into the game. You can find the survey here: https://forms.gle/8AqcjDTnnQpnTJED6

>The road to Early Access

>While there is no exact date for Early Access available just yet, we'll make sure to share updates as soon as possible. In the meantime, the best way to support Loftia is to help spread the word about us. Please let your friends know, ask them to wishlist Loftia on Steam, and share about us online - the more people are excited about Loftia, the more resources we'll be able to get for our team, and the bigger, better (and faster!) we'll be able to develop the game and get it into your hands.

>Vote for Loftia!

>Loftia's just been nominated for "Most Anticipated Game" in the Cozy Game Awards 2026!! We're so grateful to be nominated alongside many other great games coming this year. Please vote for Loftia here and let's bring this award home!

>Thank you!!!

>Thank you everybody, for everything, we couldn't have made it here without your support. Rest assured that we're doing everything we can to get Loftia released as soon as possible! Take care, and we'll see you again real soon.

Hey Loftians! I've finally finished the Gridfall map and ohmygoodness there's SO much. I have three versions of the map because the first one can be a bit overwhelming to look at with everything on it 😅

Map 1 - all items and resources with Urbex Rooms as well

Map 2 - resources only

Map 3 - Urbex only

I have LOVED every second of the Closed Beta and hope those who have had the opportunity to play have as well. Please wishlist the game on Steam so you know ASAP when it's fully released!

Hi everyone!

I hope it’s okay to share a slightly more critical take here. I really appreciate how positive and kind this community is and that’s exactly why I hope it's okay to open this discussion.

I was lucky enough to receive a beta key from a very kind person, and after waiting for quite a while, I finally got the chance to explore Loftia a bit. First of all, I want to say how grateful I am for the opportunity - it genuinely means a lot!!

That said, I found myself feeling a little conflicted while playing. Not so much about the gameplay or the overall concept, but more about the visual “feeling” of the game. From the artwork and previews, I had imagined the game to be very fresh, modern, soft and vibrant. In-game however, it feels totally different to me- the colors come across more muted than I expected and the overall presentation feels somehow less lively.

The character designs, for example, lean more toward a less refined style that, to me personally, doesn’t quite capture the charm I was hoping for. Most parts of the world feel a bit static right now, with environments that I’d love to see become more interactive and full of life over time. The hairstyles for example seem under-developed to me, like they were done by someone who didn't really have much experience in 3D modeling. The same goes for the background environment like store fronts/cityscape, it's all very simplistic to a level that feels lifeless to me.

I completely understand that this is a beta, and things are still evolving - so I hope this doesn't come off as harsh criticism. I’m really curious if others have had a similar impression or if it’s just me adjusting my expectations.

Do you think the visuals and overall presentation might still be refined as development continues, so that the game will feel very different once it's officially released? I’d absolutely love to see the game grow into the vibrant, cozy world it already hints at and that I feel the devs had in mind.

Thanks for reading - and again, this comes from a place of genuine excitement and hope for the game 💛

Sigh, last week I fell for a hacker trick so I have been spending all the time I was gonna be playing Loftia dealing with that.. is there any quick run through guide for Gridfall? I only have a few hours to earn my Betabara and I'm afraid I'm not gonna get it done in time. ;_; lost my discord to the hacker so I can't ask in the discord..

I'm sad it's almost over but I'm glad that I played. Curious to see what they will do with the full release and how the game will expand. Though I will say, playing it as much as I did (60.5 hours) almost makes me feel like I got everything I need out of it. Hopefully the game will release enough new features to make me want to continue out of beta.

I almost managed to complete the entire Collection but I don't have it in me to keep searching for the Clothing fragments in the underground lol. Probably my least favourite mechanic of the game but I do enjoy it as a gameplay option / part of the story. Now that I've grabbed all the furniture options and started my forever garden, I'm content to end.

That said, there are 2 datapads I'm missing and kind of want to find them. I managed to find the others on my own so I want to say that I got them all! But we'll see.

In the full release it'd be nice to get a mini map, more island areas, clues or riddles to find items when hovering over the greyed out option in the collection, and better island customization. I would love the option to lay down dirt or stone paths as well as add rocks, trees, bushes, and other landscaping - without taking up the item limit.

I don't know what their plans are for the future as I'm not in the discord or keeping up with news, but some fun ideas for future islands could be: Arctic Area, Nature Reserve (I'd love to have a camera to take photos of wild animals for the collection and to catch bugs), a Desert Town, and more. The more they add as the game evolves, the more I'll be interested.

I finished the quest and went to tell mita, but I'm not sure why, the dialogue is still the same as what is said before finding Atlas, and there's still a ? instead of an ! over her head, irrespective of how many ever times I try to talk to her

I tried to quit and log out incase it was a temporary glitch but it's still the same

I'm not able to figure out what I have to do, and I'm worried I won't be able to finish the questline in time

is there any way I can solve this?
