Life Modeling

Hey everyone!

I've been life modeling for the past year and absolutely love it but am currently struggling to find work as most of my sessions were through my university. I was wondering if anyone here has experience networking and getting work as a life model outside of universities, also any advice from artists that hire life models would be very much appreciated!

Thanks and happy drawing!

Who is she?

I found this one picture online a couple of years ago and drew it at random but for some reason I decided to put my heart into it. I love the shading on this one, probably the most out of all my drawings so far. This was shortly after I started using blending stumps instead of my fingers, and it changed everything.

I don’t even know who she is but if you’re the girl in this drawing and you recognize yourself, please message me so I can thank you for the experience of drawing one of my greatest pencil drawings.

I am 24. Can anyone share me the resources, both online or books from where an absolute beginner can learn how to sketch the human body an reach till the point they can make commissioned portraits. Also I am interested in using water colours or acrylic paints.

Drew this one in about 40 minutes about 3 days ago, relatively quick compared to other times I draw in. Hair is still tricky and so are toes. Overall I’m happy with it 😊
