Back in 2004, I was just a young boy when I first watched Troy, and I was instantly captivated by its epic scenes and storytelling. This timeless fable has been a part of growing up for people all over the world, cementing its status as a true classic. Since LEGO has similarly accompanied so many of us through our childhoods, I felt that creating a dialogue between these two cross-generational classics would be deeply meaningful.
In the film, the Greek army constructs the majestic wooden horse using dismantled parts from their own ships. My primary goal was to accurately capture the irregular yet dynamic texture of those arranged wooden planks, as well as the overwhelming, massive scale of the horse. I utilized a large number of reddish-brown and dark brown pieces to represent the ship timbers, keels, and other structural components. Additionally, the side of the horse's body features an opening mechanism, allowing Achilles and Odysseus to hide inside, perfectly recreating the iconic scene from the movie.
For this submission, the model is built on a 50x26 stud base and stands at a total height of approximately 32 cm. The overall part count is estimated to be between 2,000 and 2,500 pieces.
