Halloween Wrap Party - if there's ever a movie made about the making of the 1978 film, this needs to be a scene in it.
I came here to thrift and was forced to CONSUME
While at my local thrift store I found this for around $10 and couldn’t pass it up. Packaging is almost completely intact too
Universal (home video 1998)/Paramount: Psycho - 1960
Got my digital version yesterday, what a great job they did on it!
I've always wondered, why didn't John Carpenter direct the entire Halloween series himself?
Was it a personal choice to step away after the original, or were there studio decisions and creative differences involved? I know he was involved in some sequels as a writer or producer, but not as a director.
The Thing From Another World/The Fog
Nice bit where the "watch the skies" moment from 1951 inspires this ending moment in The Fog, 29 years later.
Watch the skies, look for the fog.
Excuse me, What…..
Just remember what ol' Jack Burton does when the earth quakes, and the poison arrows fall from the sky, and the pillars of Heaven shake. Yeah, Jack Burton just looks that big ol' storm right square in the eye and he says, "Give me your best shot, pal. I can take it."
The Fog: December 11th, reference to Psycho or a coincidence?
I want to think it's intentional.
John loves Hitchcock and slipped in some more not-so-subtle references.
I’m thinking about watching Christine (1983) with my family this week. Is it good, or is it just a cool concept? or would They Live (1988) be a better pick?
Is Starman 1984 worth watching? Is it one of Carpenter’s better films?
"He came home."
Couple of figure shots from my collection.
