CDG Homme piece we have at the shop, early 2010s. Black knit body with a contrasting grey wool sleeve — classic Kawakubo construction where the garment feels like two pieces assembled into one. The collar sits really well, mother of pearl buttons throughout.
Shot on a friend here in Barcelona in natural light — felt like the right way to show how it actually wears.
Happy to answer any questions or share more detail shots.
I am going on a trip to japan for 10 days around end of August, I know its going to be hot but I really l really like the baggy and casual Japanese streetwear. I plan on going with 2 days of clothes and want to buy a ton of clothes over there. I’ve seen 2nd street, kindal, etc. (basically all the main being stuff that typically gets recommended). where are some places in Tokyo to buy clothes from that are reasonably priced, not fast/cheap fashion, and aren’t over hyped?
I am 6"4 280lbs and usually wear a 40x34, and I am looking to get my first pair of Kapital jeans. The photo is the specific style I like. I am located in Minneapolis, and I am not aware of anywhere that has Kapital available to try on.
There are sizes that should fit me available on COJP, but I would like to find somewhere cheaper, because if I did my math right thats more than double what they go for in japan. I am open to buying used but I can't find any sizes close to mine online.
Any advice on how to find a good pair and how to pick the right size would be appreciated

Hi,
Aktualizacja
Hi everyone,
I recently picked up this Yohji Yamamoto jacket. Its a piece from the Fall/Winter 1996 women’s runway i think. It’s a stunning garment, and I managed to snag it for an incredible price.
However, I’m having some second thoughts about the silhouette. The jacket has a very pronounced nipped-in waist and a hourglass shape. While I’m usually comfortable wearing genderless or unisex clothing, my family has pointed out that it looks verry "feminine" on me.
Here is my dilemma:
Im not trying to make a specific gender statement. I try to think beyond the binary entirely. I want to style this as a kind of dystopian uniform, or more like body architecture.
Does the cinched waist work for a dystopian, avant-garde look, or does it lean too far into traditional feminine tailoring?
If this was SOMEHOW an XL I would have grabbed it instantly, as a beginner issey collector it’s a beautiful blazer. I’m thinking of going back and buying it for my girlfriend but 165 euros is a bit steel given I’m seeing some sold online for 320.
im talking more about the coats here but how to wear yohji and not look like im drowning on it
Sizing, Kapital denim
We have just received 2 pieces from the Japanese label CANTATE, a trucker jacket with splatter treatment & a Denim Straight Trousers, 1950s 501XX as a point of departure.. Honestly we love it.. Thoughts??
Had to post this 3 times cause I suck at reddit… sorry.
Might’ve done some things… super stoked on the 3 shirts/tops. The black Issey is a vintage piece from 1991 (my birth year!) that I found at 2nd Street.
Full haul top to bottom, left to right:
1991 Issey Miyake Men Black Long Sleeve
Kapital Bones Sakura Short Sleeve
IM MEN Itajime Shirt
Seiko x Nano Universe men’s/women’s watches (Cartier Tank inspired[dupe])

Will keep you posted on further finds, let me know if you have any questions!
My God I love Samurai Jeans.
I think this pair cements them at the top of my list of Japanese denim brands.
Their attention to detail is amazing. The denim itself is a work of art. Yes, a bit stiff (I had to get my wrench out to loosen the button holes again lol 🔧). Yes a bit crunchy. But they are already softening up. The richness of that indigo is to die for. I love the artwork on the patch too.
These are their Slim Straight cut, which I love. These are a W33 and I'm 175cm and about 78kg for reference. At a 36" inseam, I will be getting these hemmed at some stage. I know a lot of you love the double cuff - in my case it's a quadruple cuff 😅 I don't like all that bulk at my boots.
My first pair of Samurai's was there S211AX 18oz. I feel like I didn't do them justice. I'll be taking much better care of these 💪
Went to Japan for the first time this April and managed to get everything I wanted from Kapital, Buzz Rickson’s, Sugar Cane, and Real McCoys.
EDIT: Since I’m seeing a lot of questions about the pieces and prices I’ll do my best to break everything down

Hi guys!
just bought SDA D-1937 and just wondering if the fit is too big for me or is it just in my head
normally i wear 34 on any other jeans but decided to size up to 36 because 34 was a bit too tight on my waist. the staff told me that 34 might work bcs they will stretch a bit but I was scared of the shrinkage after washing.
now i am second guessing myself with 36....
Kapital + Japan Blue Jeans + Momotaro
One of my friends traveled to Japan in early April, and had asked me to recommend some secondhand stores in Tokyo. Originally, this list was made for him, but I decided to upload it here as well (i know, no one asked, but why not).
For context - I am based in Tokyo and most of my clothes is thrifted. These are the places that I personally recommend, and it's not a comprehensive guide. Just a list of my favorite stores (the ones I like the most are underlined).
I have 3-4 go-to stores, but would love to learn about new places, so if you have some recs, let me know.
