Respiratory Therapy

OK, so I applied for the Indianapolis campus as my first choice in the Lake County campus as my second choice, but I just finished taking microbiology and the head of the respiratory for lake County told me that my transfer documents won’t be accepted until grades are finalized and I submitted my application originally back in March but Our grades finalized so that I can submit my transcript for the extra points for taking chemistry and microbiology? Cause with the outage, I’m not sure what the status of that is so if anybody else that took micro or chemistry and is still waiting to submit their transcript as well, please let me know.

How was the aphy 101 exam?

I already understand diagrams is the main concept, and 90% of the exam is after midterm content including heart. Muscles and skeletal is the next biggest portion.

However, was it easy for yall who knew this from online users?

This is why I shouldn’t procrastinate

Not canvas going out when i genuinely had the intention of knocking out my last few assignments. I literally graduate tomorrow, I’m walking in the Lafayette campus commencement. And I can’t even turn in my Capstone assignment 🤣

Canvas Outage

Hi everyone.

Has canvas started working for anyone? The website they gave us to track for updates says it’s back up, but it’s absolutely not working for me.

I’m very stressed due to having assignments due tomorrow. Today was meant to be my day to get everything done due to having absolutely no time this weekend for work. It’s frustrating that Ivy Tech has only provided two updates, and no advice on who to contact or if due dates will be extended. Absolutely the worst time for this to happen!!!!

Monitoring Canvas outage

Ivy tech IT just gave me this link to track the canvas outage updates https://status.instructure.com/ as of ~30min ago there’s an update saying they anticipate being back up soon. However they told me directly just now they have no ETA for when it’ll be up. So… idfk but sharing in case of anyone else in the dark like me with a final tomorrow!!

Asn application/ Teas

Hii
So my Teas retake wasn't updating on my asn application that I had taken 2 months ago. My previous score was being shown. The new score was only showing up at the ati website but not my student portal. I talked with my advisor. She told me to contact the testing center. So I send in an email today. But the deadline is in 4 days. I am so stressed.
Does anyone know how long they take to update the correct score? Has anyone gone through this? Would appreciate any help or feedback!
Also, I had taken the teas at one of the campuses, not online.

Still waiting on final grades

I know Friday is the new deadline but I gave heard nothing from my chemistry professor since we turned in our finals last Wednesday prior to the Canvas hack. If she doesn't have grades in by Friday what happens?

Those of us taking finals today

What are we supposed to do? I’ve got a 45 min drive to campus and not sure if i can get anyone on the phone.

I haven’t been able to study since Tuesday and was going to spend majority of my night yesterday doing just that. I still have a couple of quizzes to take that my passing grade depends on. I’m freaking out.

Respiratory Therapy

I just applied for Lafayette for the fall. Anyone else apply for this campus? I have a C in one of the prerequisites so I’m not sure of my chances, but just wanted to get to know potential cohort members! Good luck everyone!

TEAS transcript issue

I sent my TEAS transcript on 04/30 and got a confirmation email on 05/06 saying the school received it. I called, and they told me it can take an additional 5 business days for the school to actually enter it into the system, which would make it Tuesday 05/12. The problem is my application deadline is 05/15, and my score still hasn’t been posted to my account. I already contacted my advisor, and they told me to email the testing service center so they could be on the lookout for my transcript, which I did, but they haven’t responded. At this point I’m basically being told there’s nothing I can do except wait, which is making me really anxious this close to the deadline.

Has anyone been through this? Did your score end up posting in time? Is there anything else I should be doing besides waiting?

Feeling discouraged and disappointed in my self

I applied for medical imaging program and I feel disappointed in myself. I have an A in everything and retook math 136 and ended with a high B. I took the teas 3 times and only got a 60. Maybe I’m just not smart enough. I’m a certified medical assistant but unfortunately not through the one they accept so I can’t add the 5 points. For ones who didn’t get accepted the first time what did you guys do to improve your chances the next round. Has anyone applied to other schools to improve the chances of getting accepted? I already came to the conclusion that I won’t be accepted this fall.

I went to submit my computing logic final exam and the whole website broke with a 500 Internal Server Error. Luckily I have unlimited attempts for that class’ exam (thankfully because my teacher kind of sucks a lot). But now I can’t do any homework!

Canvas

Does anyone have any insight to when it will be back up. I have a paper due tomorrow I need to be able to see the rubric refer back to it etc. I saw the email that said there was a data breach but that was it. This is a huge project that I need to work on and canvas has been down for “scheduled maintenance” for hours. Seems like a really bad time for it with it being finals week

Finals cancelled?

so i called the student testing center and they said canvas was hacked (the whole shpiel). I confirm that I do not have to come in because "all morning appointments have been cancelled". Great! I get back home and then maybe a bit later get the email that Canvas is back up. What do I do? My appointment was at 10:30a (today) and SmarterProctoring still isn't up. Im just confused (i tried calling the testing center again, but i can only imagine they're getting an influx of calls)

edit: got in contact with my professor and was able to reschedule my exam. the college also sent out an email about final/assignment extensions up until tuesday (5/12) and that professors have until thursday (5/14) to put in final grades.

Class average is failing? Algebra 136

The averages on every assignment are well below failing, including the final exam part 1. Is it possible there will be a curve?

Averages have consistently been under 55 and I'm curious what happens if the majority of the class fails.

I’m taking my APHY 102 exam tomorrow. I know going over the Smartbook assignments, old quizzes, and labs help with studying, however I know most exams have a majority of their questions based off of specific modules. Are their topics I should focus on more than others?
