Help me brainstorm designs for a “new species” of stag beetle that is both cool and believable.

I’m looking for features that are outlandish but can actually exist in nature (e.g. the growths on the carapace of samurai crabs, the rear femora of leaf-footed bugs, etc.) that would make it look obviously not real but still believable.

Bonus imaginary points if you have ecological justifications for the features.

Feel free to do edits on my sketch if it will help visualize your ideas.

HELP I.D.’ing?

Hello people smarter than me.

What is this bug? My wife and I find 2-3 of these a day, all the same size, usually around bathroom sink or kitchen counter. Every so often on wall or ceiling in another room.

RELEVANT INFO:

Brooklyn, NY
Started seeing them late summer to now
0-3 a day
Can fly, but usually stationary
Often found along seam/in shadow

Thank you.

Hi y'all, I'm hoping someone here can tell me how insane my (literal first) idea is. Something in my situation has changed and I must move - I've found a new place already that is located about 5/7 mins away. I have gotten a bit attached to the wasps here, I greet the nests by my front door daily, sometimes just standing there watching them (even successfully saved a couple that got in). When we moved in, the house had no wasps around / on the home, the area is pretty active with pest removal and we regularly get reps knocking on the door. One told me they relocate the nests to trees after I had replied "they don't bother me", I thought he was lying but didn't look into at the time.... I believe the owner will 100% not want them there and will restart pest remediation around the property.

(Basically TLDR;)

Could I possibly take my wasps and the nests somehow and bring them to our new home?

If so, how likely is it that they will sting the crap out of me? They've never shown aggression before, but I've also never tried to kidnap them before.

I was thinking maybe I could like buy a bee suit to protect myself, maybe wear a few layers of denim or something??

Another question would be is there any way to calm them (such as smoking bees) so I could most effectively grab as many wasps as possible? Idk how wasp families work but I'm not trying to break up siblings you know?

THEN the last question would be, assuming everything else goes smoothly, could I just like use a tiny dot of superglue at the base to reattach it once moved?
