Today, Pflugerville will hear our message of NO WAR, NO ICE, NO CAMPS; Monday: Cedar Park

Today will be a beautiful day to show Pflugerville our opposition to tRump’s illegal wars, the horrendous inhumane treatment of immigrants and those seeking to help them, and the worst corruption in American history.

Indivisible 1431 is holding three rallies each weekend through April: Saturdays (11 am- 1 pm), Round Rock; Sundays (noon-2 pm), Pflugerville; Mondays (5-7 pm; bannering & popup!), Cedar Park. (Watch for subsequent announcements regarding May)

Only one big change to the schedule from March, which is we will banner in Cedar Park from 5-7 pm. Now that the days are longer, we’ll have better light, and this time frame brings even more northbound traffic on US 183A.

Join us this coming weekend for any or all of our three weekly protests around the FM 1431 corridor:

• Saturdays, 11 am - 1 pm: Pop up protest in Round Rock, University Blvd & University Oaks Blvd, across University from IKEA -- https://www.mobilize.us/indivisible1431/event/930236/

• Sundays, noon - 2 pm: Pop up in Pflugerville, Kelly Lane & Benning -- https://www.mobilize.us/indivisible1431/event/879293/

• Mondays, 5-7 pm: Bannering and pop up in Cedar Park, E Park St bridge over US 183A -- https://www.mobilize.us/indivisible1431/event/881140/

Weeks of bombing Houthis accomplished little: Is Iran an exercise in rinse and repeat?

Remember the “Houthi Small Group” of tRumpian goofballs planning a bombing campaign against Houthi rebels in Yemen that was busted by the Atlantic magazine? This led to Signalgate, thanks to Mike Waltz’s doofus invitation to the magazine’s editor.

Well, according to Foreign Affairs magazine, the seven and a half weeks of heavy anti-Houthi airstrikes on more than 1,000 separate targets accomplished basically nothing.

Sound familiar? It sounds like rinse and repeat in Iran.

The Houthi attacks ended abruptly, with tRump’s announcement that the Houthie’s “don’t want to fight anymore.”

“What is puzzling about the White House announcement is that the Houthis’ position remains essentially unchanged from when the Trump administration began its escalated air campaign on March 15.,” writes April Longley Alley, former Senior Expert for the Gulf States and Yemen at the United State Institute of Peace. Note that she is the “former” Senior Expert.

Ostensibly, Operation Rough Rider—as the U.S. campaign was called—was launched to restore freedom of navigation in the Red Sea and to reestablish deterrence against Iran and its proxies. When the operation began, the Houthis were explicitly targeting Israel as well as Israeli-linked ships—though not U.S. ships—and saying they would continue to do so until Israel ends its war in Gaza. Since the outset of the U.S. campaign, Houthi leaders

Despite tRump’s bragging about the “capitulated” Houthis, the group hangs onto power, and has called the deal a “victory for Yemen.”
