Scrolling notes
I recently bought an Ainote 2 and it is my first e-ink tablet. Writing is smooth but I can't say the same about scrolling notes as it is sluggish. Are there any improvements planned ?

hi all, I’m u/ItsChristinaaaaa, one of the mods here in r/AINOTE.😎
just wanted to quickly drop in and say hey 👋
I’ll probably be around quite a bit — not just doing mod stuff in the background, but actually hanging out in the comments and posts like a normal user too.
🌟what I’m doing here
I’m kind of in a middle space between “official updates” and “community voice”.
🌟so you’ll see me:
- starting discussion posts / questions from time to time
- jumping into comment threads and talking things through
- collecting feedback (good, bad, messy — all of it) and bringing it back to the team
- occasionally sharing updates, but keeping it grounded in how people actually use AINOTE day to day at
- how I’m thinking about this space
honestly, I don’t want this to feel like a one-way announcement channel.
I’d rather this be a place where:
- people can be honest about what’s working / not working
- ideas evolve through actual discussion
- users + the team can kind of think together in public
so yeah — feel free to push back, disagree, or go deeper on anything I post. that’s kind of the point.
📕small note on me
I might not always have instant answers to everything, but I will make sure things don’t just disappear into a void.
if something’s important, confusing, or frustrating — I’ll take it back, ask questions, and try to keep the loop closed.
anyway, looking forward to being part of the community here.
see you around 🙂
— Christina🐣
Please give us the option to totally deactivate handwriting to text. This should be a basic feature.
At AINOTE, we know that an AI note-taking device is not just a place to store words.
When you use AINOTE, you may be recording meetings, converting speech into text, turning handwriting into digital notes, generating AI-assisted summaries, or syncing content across devices. That content may include business discussions, study materials, interviews, project plans, action items, deadlines, or personal ideas.
That is why we design security into AINOTE from the start.
AINOTE is built to support real productivity workflows. In those workflows, your notes, recordings, transcripts, summaries, and synced files may contain information that matters to you.
Our goal is to help you work more efficiently while reducing unnecessary exposure of your data.
When data moves between your device and AINOTE services, we use encrypted transmission, including HTTPS / SSL.
This helps protect your information while it is being transferred. For example, when you sync notes, access a transcript, or use connected AI features, your data should not travel across the internet as plain, unprotected information.
AINOTE is supported by trusted cloud infrastructure, including AWS.
This provides a reliable foundation for cloud sync, multi-device access, data storage, and connected productivity features. For users, this means the security experience is not only about the device itself, but also about the systems behind the service.
Security does not rely on one single barrier.
We use multiple layers of protection, including firewalls, intrusion prevention systems, access control, permission management, and risk monitoring.
These layers work together to help filter suspicious traffic, detect abnormal activity, limit unnecessary access, and reduce system-level risks.
Imagine you record a business meeting and later generate a transcript or AI summary. That content may include names, decisions, deadlines, and follow-up tasks.
AINOTE’s security design is built to help protect that information during transmission, storage, access, and ongoing monitoring.
No system can remove every possible risk. But we believe security should be designed carefully, monitored continuously, and explained clearly.
For AINOTE, security is not an add-on.
It is part of the product foundation — because your notes, recordings, transcripts, and ideas deserve protection from the start.
Although the use case is not officially supported by Todoist, has anyone attempted to use it on an e-ink Android device such as the Boox Note Air or Onyx Boox Palma? Would like to get insights on your experiences.
I am unsure which one to get. The Viwoods Airpaper looks good on paper, with more storage, a better price, and some preloaded LLMs; on the other hand, the AINOTE 2 seems more premium, with good AI integration.
I want a good device with ebook capabilities, Great Quality, Google Play Store integration, strong AI integration, and great note-taking. I am moving away from Amazon.
Thank you for your feedback.
Weird they haven't figured this out yet. Other companies like Viwoods at least give you access to the note files so you can do a work around. Not Iflytek though.
Returning both devices and switching to Supernote. I'd recommend that anyone thinking about having both devices (large and small) do not go with Iflytek or Viwoods for this exact issue.
If so when will it come out? I'm trying to make decisions between Remarkable Paper Pro and Ai Note 2 and I want to go with ai Note 2 but work might not allow to download the app but would allow chrome browser access to the app to access notes.
Does the AINOTE 2 built-in software have layers? I watched some videos and it seems like it does not :-/
My stylus of AINote 2 fell and the tip went inside and obviously it isn't working anymore.
I got an original stylus from China but that is not working with my AINote 2.
I stay in Asia. Can you guide me to the link to purchase the original stylus only from the US? Tried checking the website but couldn't find where I can purchase the stylus only.
Hi everyone. This is AINOTE Team.
As AI becomes a core part of productivity tools, one question comes up again and again:
>“What happens to my data?”
At AINOTE, we believe powerful AI should never come at the cost of your privacy.
That’s why everything is built around one principle:
Your data belongs to you, and you stay in control.
AINOTE is built on a secure, enterprise-level architecture, including:
Security is not an add-on. It’s built into the system from the start.
We understand the biggest concern around AI:
>"Is my data being used to train models?"
With AINOTE, the answer is no.
This ensures your content remains private and under your control.
AINOTE does not continuously collect or process your data.
AI capabilities are explicitly user-triggered, such as:
If you don’t use these features, your data is not sent for AI processing.
No hidden uploads. No background activity.
AINOTE is designed to ensure that core note-taking and productivity capabilities remain usable even without an internet connection.
This means you can:
You stay productive, even in offline environments.
We understand that where your data is stored matters.
AINOTE provides region-based data deployment, including:
Your data is routed and stored based on your region selection.
This setup ensures compliance with major data protection regulations, including:
You not only know how your data is handled.
you know where it lives.
Privacy protection at AINOTE covers the entire lifecycle:
Every layer is designed to minimize risk and maximize trust.
We know privacy is not just about policies. It’s about real system design.
That’s why AINOTE is built to ensure:
AI helps you work better without taking ownership of your data.

How do you use AI to generate summaries for other types such as presentations, conversations.
