Hi everyone!

My husband and I are coming to Houghton Festival for the first time this August and we’re travelling from Argentina, so we’d love to hear any advice from people who have already been.

We’re staying around 10 minutes away by car from the festival and were wondering:
- how difficult parking usually is,
- if driving back at night is manageable,
- how cold it actually gets during the night/morning,
- and anything you wish you had known before going for the first time.

We’ve been to festivals before, but never in the English countryside, so we’re especially unsure about weather, clothing, mud/rain, transport, phone signal and general logistics.

Any tips or recommendations would be super appreciated :)

So I’ve had a mate who has been head of security the last 3 years. And this year they have been replaced by a new firm. He said the change was just done and not down to anything negative etc.

But on this, one of the best things about the festival is the fact that we are within reason left to our own devices inside the forest. I’ve never once felt it’s moody etc and obviously been able to do this and that freely! They was a little stricter last year going into the main festival from GA camping but not the end of the world.

Just hoping a new firm don’t come in and put strict policing in force in the forest walking round with torches constantly etc cause that for me will defo ruin it!

I have secured two Houghton tix - but would much prefer to attend Waking Life. Is there anyone in the reverse position who wants to facilitate a swap?

Houghton massive, I’m searching for a ticket or a pair. My lady and I will be flying to London early August for my first time in the EU zone. Been a dream to stomp in the woods with the party freaks and my favorite DJs. Any tips for watching the resale queue? Is there a telegram or discord group to get on?
