I'm trying to find the name of a horror punk band that i heard on a Spotify mix, the name was long... The singer was a melancholy crooner, his voice was smooth like melted butter. It was a poetic song pretty much about a guy in love with a ghoul. I can't for the life of me remember it. Think along the lines of The brains and Rezurex. Please help with suggestions!

My first horrorpunk show!

This is the show that started it all for me and made me go from a hip hop skater kid to a HorrorPunk kid. This was 2005 at the showcase theater in Pamona California. Calabrese became my favorite band after this show and Summers End was also an amazing band that I never got to see again. Wish they would make a comeback. Also so Blitzkid that same year here, the showcase was awesome!

I was wondering about this earlier; I think a big challenge for our niche is attracting more people, and I was thinking about which albums I would recommend to someone new to the genre, and I was curious about what your choices would be here on the subreddit.

Won't Stay Dead make video for Rue Morgue!

There's a Chicago punk band called Won't Stay Dead and they made a cool music video (Knives! Fake Blood! Candles!) for Rue Morgue. If you're into Horror Punk, WSD is definitely keeping the spirit alive. They go all out for their live show and it's hella fun stuff. Got some upcoming shows too:

5/13 - Toronto, ON @ Bovine Sex Club
5/15 - Montreal, QC @ Pouzza Fest
10/24 - Gainesville, FL @ The Fest

Since we had the Evelyn's Casket appreciation post here the other day, I figured I'd post photos I took at their show in Mesa in March.

I'm so happy with these! I was thrilled to take pictures of one of my favorite bands, and really happy with how the shots came out. Evelyn's Casket is awesome live, and very fun to photograph! I've got a few more pictures on my instagram.

Anyone catching them on their Oregon / Washington tour next month?

Toria and The Terror - The Operating Table EP

Toria and the Terror, is excited to announce the release of their debut EP ‘The Operating Table’, via We Are Horror Records.

They rose from the dead in Liverpool, UK, but are currently haunting the streets of Tokyo, Japan. This EP will give listeners a taste of what they will hear on their debut album, ‘Wicked Hymns’, and sews together themes of body torture and hospital horror with the thread of feminine rage.

The EP contains two songs from the aforementioned upcoming album, respectively titled ‘Frankenstein Girl’ and ‘The Morgue’, and a cover of Northampton’s finest gothic rock band Bauhaus’ 1980 track ‘Stigmata Martyr’.

The opening track, ‘Frankenstein Girl’, is a gothic rock and riot grrrl fused self-hatred anthem. In it,
Toria Terror describes digging up dead celebrities and sewing their positive attributes to herself in an
attempt to love herself more. It is classic horror spray painted on a wall of fuzz.

The subsequent track, ‘The Morgue’, is a love letter to The Cramps painting 3 scenes of abject horror,
all taking place in a hospital morgue. This kooky psychobilly track will be a guaranteed hit at your next halloween party.

The final track is a new twist on an old favourite, exclusive to the EP. Their take on ‘Stigmata Martyr’
by Bauhaus is much more raucous and unhinged than the original. Harrowing, sexy, and altogether
mental, this track illustrates Christ on the cross in the most blasphemous way possible.

‘The Operating Table’ will be available on all streaming platforms at on May 15, 2026.
For more information on Toria and the Terror, follow them on their social media platforms.

I just wanted to share with you all that about two months ago I started my horror punk band in my city with some apprehension (I live in a small rural town in a poor region of Brazil), but I've been surprised by how things have evolved. I've found true partners in this endeavor who have embraced and believe in my idea, and with their support, my creativity has never been so vibrant... the way the original concept I developed for the band is maturing is still surreal to me; sometimes it seems like we're going too fast. This weekend I finally managed to finish composing my first song for the band, and it was a gratifying feeling that's impossible to describe. I felt that I can really do this as well as my musical idols like Lux Interior, Jim Morrison, Glenn Danzig, Alex Story, Joey Ramone, Johnny Cash, among others... I've never been so deeply connected to music.

Just listening to my Revamped Terrifying Tales album and browsing the insert again. Got me wondering if anybody ever submitted the $6 dues in the past and got any goodies. Assuming this was something they did earlier on before their hiatus, but would be cool if they still did this!

Also, anybody have any idea if they are planning on announcing more US shows this year? I've been keeping my eye out!
