Recoiless Pistol

Not like it had much to begin with, made pretty good time in a two gun match I was in. Probably going to throw a spur hammer and some better iron sights on it. Either Meprolight or Trijicon dots, if you can testify for either tell which you prefer because I could honestly go either way. Also want an extended (non-ambi) safety, if y'all have any recommendations I'd also appreciate it.

A new look for the detective

I put some new grips on my FM detective. Thoughts over the original grips.

Trade for a Geissele Super Precision 1-6x26mm Scope?

Hi y’all,

Someone local to me wants to trade a very nice looking BHP for my new in box Geissele Super Precision scope. Pic of gun included. What do y’all think? Fair trade? I’ve always wanted a BHP since a teenager.

New C&S hammer set won't engage

I recently purchased an FEG Hi Power. The sights were waaay off, trigger was horrendous, and I'm left handed. I've purchased a sight tool and adjusted that, as well as ordered wide ambi safety and a target hammer set from C&S. safety was a bit of a chore to fit, but that's in and functioning now. I kept the old hammer strut and installed the 26# spring on it. My issue is the hammer is coming to hard stop just a fraction of a millimeter too soon to reliably engage the sear. I can see the reason for the stop being full compression of the main spring.

It seems to me the solution here is to take half a coil off the main spring, but I see advice not to do so, and both ends of the spring are terminated flat. Obviously I don't want to trim the sear. Is there something I'm missing here? Do I trim the main spring, or do I need C&S' hammer strut?

New SA-35

Just got this Springfield and have ran about 200 rounds through it. Absolutely flawless. Pictured with my stepdads original up top

Looking for something budget friendly and is 10 round complaint.

John Moses Browning is one of my favorite Americas (not just because we share a middle name) who created the greatest piece of machinery that is the 1911. I own a 1911 clone from Tisas and I love it. I have put about 400 rounds through it and it still runs like a well oiled machine. Then I met the Hi Power, it's like the 1911's elegant younger brother. I am waiting on pistol permits and I wanted to know which of the clone models is not killer on the wallet but also comes with 10 round magazines. From my own research is seems like the the MCP35 that checks off both my boxes. For owners of the MCP35, how is it? I hear the trigger is rather stiff for a single action pistol. FN is out of my budget and any other clones don't come with 10 round mags from the distributors. Should I seek out a dealer for these brands or see what my LGS can do? They told me that anything they get will be pinned to 10 rounds here in NJ.

Life is too short for a safe full of exclusively polymer pistols.

The new high polish SA-35 is the latest addition to my collection of dressed up legendary pistols.

Question

Recently bought a 1990 Browning Highpower from a friend of mine. Does the safety only work in the half cock position? Sorry if this seems like a stupid question. Thank you in advance.

Alloy PI model update.

Passed 600 rounds on the girsan today, lightweight PI. I had four stovepipes in the first few magazines a while back, otherwise no problems besides the sights being off. Wear looks normal, it's sprung pretty tightly. I like the flat spring/FL guide. It's not picky about grip or magazine spring strength. No issues with the extractor yet, I'll trust it after 1000.

Blurry grabs from videos I took to see if I tightened my extractor fitting enough on the browning (nope)
