Haikyuu Pop Mart Figures GO

Not sure if this is allowed here but I’m hosting a GO for the new Haikyuu Pop Mart figures!

I had a lot of trouble getting Hinatas for resale (bc of the blind boxes they use) and it was more expensive so I’d like to just order the whole set of these.
This will only go through if all characters are claimed! I have held GOs in the past but it’s been a while, feel free to ask any questions!
The last set of 6 was $120, and individually they were around $20 each. Prices aren’t confirmed yet but for now we’ll keep it around that mark.
Each claim includes price of the figure + shipping to me + shipping to you!
Payment is due when the boxes are filled. Claims cannot be refunded unless you get someone to take your spot. And of course everyone will be refunded if I’m not able to secure the sets!

Considering that these two National team players were second years of other schools during Hinata's final year of High School, the tournaments of Hinata's third year must have been absolutely insane

As the only National Team Caliber players outside of Karasuno (besides Hyakuzawa) during that year, imagine how dominant these two must have been.

Question about volleyball

So when the setter is in the back row (eg Kageyama in position 1), you have to pull someone from the front row to have 3 people to receive the serve, right? I've noticed that teams often take the other OH (so in Karasuno's case it would be Tanaka going back to receive with Azumane / Nishinoya)

However, iirc it's mentioned that Sawamura is a defensive specialist, so why dont Karasuno pull the OP back instead? Do people just don't do this IRL?

If anyone plays volleyball please let me know

Kamomedai wasn’t just strong, they were a narrative glitch

I’m rewatching the Kamomedai match and I can't shake the feeling that Furudate overbuffed them to a point where they don't even feel like a high school team anymore.

We’re used to 'illogical' teams, but they usually stay within the boundaries of teenage volatility. Even Fukurodani, a Top 4 team, has the Bokuto Factor (emotional swings). Kamomedai has none of that. They have Date Tech’s blocking, Elite floor defense, and a 2-meter giant (Gao) with insane game sense. They play with a stoic, systematic discipline that you only see in University or Pro teams. On top of that we have another top middle blocker who is also very good all around and the most complete and consistent ace (apart from ushijima) in the series.

To make Karasuno even competitive, Furudate had to overclock Hinata to a level that feels like he skipped his entire 2nd and 3rd years of development. He went from a high-spec weapon to a 3D chess master, manipulating space with diagonal jumps and tempo-shifting and psychological mastery of blockers that should be impossible for a 16-year-old. It’s a brilliant arc, but it pushed the power scaling so high, so fast, that no other high school team should realistically be able to touch Hinata after this.

This ties to my dislike of how furudate chose to carry his time skip. If hinata was THAT GOOD after kamomedai and added any further development, he and kageyama should have leveled every single tornament after that. I love Hinata’s development directionally, but he peaked too soon for the story that furudate chose to tell after kamomedai to make any narrative sense.

In Tokyo, Harajuku right now and walked into this store with a whole Haikyuu section.

Trying to pick one before I head back. Who's your fav character? Any figure/merch you'd recommend grabbing if I see it?

i really like how furudate's art style developed

i wasn't sure if the last title counted as a spoiler, but when i say "developed", i'm more so talking about how he went about ageing up the characters!!

i was too lazy to go looking for other examples, but i think this Hinata collage(?) is good enough by itself.

he still looks very distinctly like himself, as a third year and as an adult, while also obviously looking more mature.

(my only tiny little nitpick, which is entirely subjective, is that it would've been fun for him to keep the long hair seeing as most other characters ended up with shorter hair.)

A thought on Kageyama and Tsukishima

Greetings yellow Haikyuu lovers!

I’m on my umpteenth rewatch, currently at Season 3 and I had a thought (nothing serious but bear with me).

Do you guys think that, after their first years in HS, Kageyama and Tsukishima get to a point where they’ll openly commend the other, or even a high five?

Like, they’ve both complimented (or sort of) each other but it’s always under their breath or just a thought, never or open.
