Omega and Swatch did a collab and gave us a plastic watch that scalpers flipped for 10x retail. The recent AP collab looks even worse. Imagine if Casio and Rolex did one instead, a metal G-SHOCK in Submariner colourways. One would actually survive being worn.
As you can see I'm at the very end of the strap and the keeper keeps sliding off (the watch has already fell off my wrist once)
What are some good alternatives? I kinda like the rubber straps

I broke the crystal on my new GA-B010 by dropping it while disassembled. And I bought a very expensive bezel that doesn’t even fit.
 
## First FkUp is…
I got an inner ring for GA-2100 thinking it *might* fit.
Short answer. No. It doesn’t.
To get to inner indices ring, I couldn’t get it out from the back.
I pushed out the crystal, tried to fit the GA-2100, found out it doesn’t, and tried to press the crystal back in.
Thing is crystal kept falling out after I pressed it. I barely have any experience working on watches, so I thought I didn’t do it right. Then, I dropped the crystal.
## The second FkUp is…
I wanted to swap out the bezel. I looked everywhere. No one has it other than black one on EBay. At least, not in the states.
Then, I found this Spanish Casio authorized seller site. They had the orange GD-010-4 bezel that I was looking for. Shipping was…… twice the price but, at the time, I thought ‘fuck it. Let’s try it’
Fast forward, the GD-010-4 bezel arrives in the states via DHL Express. I knew I have to pay the import duty.
After a few days, I finally get an email requesting some info for me to fill out. Then, on their site, it says this package has 2 items. WTF?? I fill out whatever I can for the first item. For the second item, I just wrote “there is not supposed be a second item” and submitted.
After about 4 days, I get another email from DHL that I need to correct some info asking for 2 goddamn items. I called their customer service. Shit got resolved.
Then, yet another email from DHL lands in my inbox saying that I owe them 4 days worth of storage fee amounting to $200+whatever I was supposed to pay. I call them again. They waived the storage fee.
All in all, this orange bezel that costs 13 euros ended up costing about $75.
And the kicker is…it doesn’t fucking fit.
I thought, ‘Surely, GD-010 bezels look pretty spot on with GA-010. This could work.’ NOPE.
I’m a dummy who has to learn the hard way.
Aftermarket parts on an original Bluetooth module
This is simple little mod I thought looked cool. Usually I just get the Jays and Kays bars and adapters and throw on an NDC strap. I decided to get a basic DW5600, some green filter from amazon and an FKM strap. I wanted to play with some colors. I think it looks nice.
(correction GWX not GLX) With after market strap and crash bars.
I purchased the red and black Combi V2 and bezel from a GWB, and a GW-M5610U-1CJF from my dear friend north of the border, u/pizzasplice . Those bits arrived today and led to an absolute cascade of parts-swapping between several different watches. The end result was this group. No G Shocks were harmed in the making of this photo.
It had been lying in my drawer for a long time, it was my first G-Shock. I decided to take care of it recently, I changed the bezel, polished it and added a red polarizing filter.
My g shock has its display stuck....I tried pressing adjust, mode, etc and their combinations ...nothing worked....Any body know how to fix this?
Love how the Rangeman looks on a nylon strap. JaysAndKays 24mm adapters work way better than I had anticipated! I didn’t go with a full size NATO because this thing is tall enough on the wrist as is.
Which model G-SHOCK do you think James Bond would wear?

so when i got my GAB2100C-9A i had a pretty large g-shock collection, and so i put it into "beater" duty pretty quickly. Now 2 years later, it's beat, and I've sold most of my other g-shocks. Down from 12 to 3 now. So I decided to take the GAB2100C-9A off beater duty. Much to my chagrin, an OEM replacement bezel and strap for a GAB2100C-9A is $109 US. i can replace the watch for $126 US but that seems like a waste of money when the only thing wrong with mine is discoloration. decided not to go aftermarket and stay OEM. limited options... so i got an all black bezel and strap which is from a GA2100-BB.... that came with a silver buckle... so i moved the black buckle from the GAB2100C-9A over to the new strap. i think it looks better that way vs. the silver buckle. anyway. if you want to keep your yellow g-shock nice.... don't use it for yard work... and don't wear it with black hoodies. most of the discoloration is actually from all my black sweatshirts... my yellow surfrider square is a short sleeve only watch for this reason...
