Took inspiration from u/skirmishersguild (https://www.reddit.com/r/gaslands/comments/1steszj/martian_racing_rules_with_an_episode_1_podracer/) and made my own podracers to be used with the Martian Racing Federation rules!
These are the Galoob Micro Machines podracers with the bases removed. I used the standard 30mm x 60mm bases and glued 10mm dowels at the point they would have connected to the original base to prop them up.
I originally wanted to use magnets, but the magnets I purchased weren't strong enough to keep them balanced at the connection points. I don't feel that it suffers any from just being a static mounting. :)
A quick wash on each racer, some texture and some dry-brushing on the base and they were ready to go!
Very pleased with how my first gaslands car has worked out, roughly based on the car on the front of the rulebook. Comments and painting tips welcomed. Now just need to get started on the next one
The cab's ram spike is an actual piece of metal that popped my tire a few weeks ago.
...to go with one of my earliest cars from last year. El Segundo joins Bone Eater (Bonita) as Los Huesos Negros a k.a The Black Bones.
Pues basándome en la última serie de cómics de Batman Absolute, se me a ocurrido hacer un tanque con un camión de obra. La idea es usarlo como tanque por que es incluso más grande que un monster truck
Here’s my first car! I’m doing my squad as all knight based cars, hence the vengeance sword sticking out the bumper lol
I've been thinking about starting something with this game for a while, so I've had some ideas kicking around and I've bought a few things I wanted for it. But today I finally sat down and knocked something out. Still needs paint obviously but I think this is a pretty good start in the game. It has been quite some time since I've done this much kitbashing and converting on one model and I had a blast doing it.
Built and painted these highway patrol cars for a friend. Bits are printed and decals are from a 40k arbites kit.
Board size is 44" x 44", gates are 7" apart. Is the terrain too dense or too sparse? Any advice would be appreciated!
So I've started painting my card, and happened to notice that the primer didn't exactly stick well.
Do y'all got any tips for helping it stick more effectively?
All on a 3 for 2 deal as well. I got a bit carried away, especially as I have never played gaslands!
Any guesses what my other modelling hobby is? 😂Anyway, here's this guy with 2 machine guns and a front mounted flame thrower
They are just making models for us basically
