Fosi C3 experience

Awhile ago I received a demo of the C3 AI enhanced gaming dac and amp from fosi audio and my experiences been pretty good with the almost month of use I got with it! I primarily used it for its main purpose which is gaming but I used it for music and some video editing too. First things first it has a UAC 1.0 and 2.0 but UAC 1.0 supports the AI features and the 7.1 surround audio rebuilding. The 7.1 is great for single player immersion and music but tends to have trouble with people mics in multiplayer games like it’s trying to decide which way their voice is coming from when in coms. The AI mode currently only supports a few games one being cs2 and I will say it is almost cheating at how it boosts all the right sound queues. UAC 1 mode does have a slight firmware bug sometimes but you can switch to UAC 2 for a bit and go back to 1 and it will work fine again. The dac does have a mic in and a background noise cancellation which I only use a bit since I use a desktop microphone but I do occasionally use it with my beyer dynamics mmx 150 or my Sennheiser |EPOS gsp 302 headset. The gsp is where the background cancellation really stands out since the mic on this headset is outstanding but can pick up noises very easily so the noise cancellation can make this Mic sound just as good as a professional. The build quality of the C3 is very impressive and doesn’t seem to be forgotten about or left in a bad state. The sliders are smooth and have dust covers inside the buttons are clicky but not loud however I have noticed the on button can get stuck if pressed to hard but can easily pop back out by pressing again. I have been on a streak with arc raiders lately and have had times where my teammates have said how did you hear that or how did you know that there were people there and every time I think “yeah I probably wouldn’t have heard that if I wasn’t using this” so I know for sure it dose in fact improve performance in games if you are playing and audio reliant game. That’s pretty much all I want to say at the moment because if I went into full detail this would be journal size and it’s already longer than it should be since short and to the point is my style. Thanks for reading!

I’ve got a pair of Martin Logan LX 16 that I adore. I just hooked them to Fosi BT20A I had laying around. At one point had the paired with older Bose 201s from the 90s and they sounded great for the room they were in. I’m curious if I could get better smoothness from a different product. I’m a fan of tub amps but not he price. Would love to learn from those who have used the hybrid amps and the DAC. Appreciate all insite and guidance on making my listening experience better. I do enjoy clear and loud sound.

Hello,

I am interesting in buying one of these AMP/DAC combos: Fosi K7 or Fosi ZH3.

Thing is that I don't know which one would be better for me. So, maybe you guys can help me out.

I do play video games and I also listen to music. I enjoy bassy EDM, but also classical music, and classic rock too. I am gamer, I play open world and story driven games mostly, but I also play online shooters (sometimes).

I have Hifiman Edition XS headphones and they are connected to Arturia Minifuse 2 audio interface. For headphones , I don't think this is right device to connect headphones :D But this basically means, that I don't need Mic input or XLR output, speakers and mic are connected to audio interface. I don't care about bluetooth either, never understood the need for it too :). I want best audio for games and music. Maybe, you'll be able to help me out here. Maybe some of you own both of these devices and can share their experience. Thank You :)
