Realistic equipment size

So i come from a rather small dairy farm (20 cows). I picked up fs25 at launch, as my first fs game. I then started watching a lot of farming videos on youtube and tv. I notiched that even rather large farms often used 3 or 4 meter equipment. I would see large fend 900s with 3 meter cultivators. It made me think that the way i played in fs was actually quite unrealistic? Using 6-8m equipment on 3 hectare fields in game, and in real life people use 3m equipment on 17 hectare fields. Are there any real life farmers out there who would like to educate me on this matter?

What do you do when you chop down a forest?

Playing on riverbend springs and there’s a plot of land near me with a forest I want to use. What do you do with the land afterwards. Plant more trees or create fields?

Setting objectives

Hi all.

I'm new to farming simulator. I really enjoy playing it but what I found to be an issue for me is the lack of objectives. What am I working towards? To build a functioning farm? I suppose that's fine but there's no clear objective to say do this and you have successfully finished Riverbend springs.

I mean, I would like to run an expanded and thriving farm that makes a lot of money but how do you define success? How do you compare success with other players? Is everything just subjective?

I'm not bashing the game. I love playing it. I just feel like I'm floating around with no goals.

Will setting myself a goal to make £100 million a good goal? How about £1billion?

Just wonder what people think. Especially those that have played for much longer than me.

Like i said, I'm new to farming simulation and simulation games in general. Are they all like this?

Thanks.

Entire grass removed and no grass dropped

There are almost no mods in use, just the map Silver Run Forest along with the required ones. The grass isn’t being mowed, instead, it’s being destroyed, not dropping.

Why? Please help.

Finally found my new favourite map!

After weeks of searching for the perfect map—one with large limited fields, and just one or at most two farmyards—I finally found exactly what I was looking for: Welcome to Lehndorf, a German map.

I genuinely want to appreciate the creator for the outstanding work. The map strikes a great balance with well-sized fields that feel spacious yet cozy. Thoughtful details like disabled collisions in key areas, massive garages suitable for large fleets, and well-designed animal pens really stand out. On top of that, the availability of open spaces for custom builds makes it even more versatile.

I’d definitely suggest you guys give it a try—there’s surprisingly very little content about it on YouTube and even Reddit. Thanks!

PS Store Sale- Which One to Purchase?

All versions of FS are on sale. I have FS 17 and a PS4. Love 17 with the mods. Would you recommend 19 or 22 for the PS4? Also, Platinum or Premium Edition? Thanks

Property lines and neighboring fields.

I have this issue where I like to have a clear boundary, so to speak, of what is my farm and what might be someone else’s farm. Maybe I am a little bit OCD. But, on some maps it makes it difficult to, especially on some European maps. I’m not European and I’ve never been to Europe. Maybe that’s just how it is IRL. I really love some of the Polish maps, the detail is fantastic. But, Polish maps make it especially difficult because there are a bunch of fields all close together and close to my farm. So, I feel the need to buy all the fields that are near me. LOL Am I the only one who struggles with this? How do you deal with the feeling that you have to buy every field until you reach a clear boundary of what is your farm and what would be someone else’s farm?
