Generally, how safe is this area (west acres) late at night for a woman?

My husbands work shift is changing. I don't like sitting in the hotel room for hours so I usually go to the park to get my steps in and enjoy being outside. He'd leave at 5:30 pm and id get a good amount of time at the park until 8:30 or so.

His shift is changing to 10 pm to 6 am. I found a park that says it's open 24 hours. Would it be safe to go to the park around that time?

USA vs Bosnia

Interesting wrinkle of living here is that we probably live in one of the largest US Bosnian populations. We happen to play Bosnia in the first elimination game of the World Cup.. I was hoping there is a good bar to watch the game at Wednesday but also thinking there is a good chance it’s mostly Bosnias there, given how many of them there are here and us not knowing what soccer is

Is this a good area/apartment for me to move into?

Thank you. Is it close to where the river floods or where the trains make noise? Anything I should know about this general area in terms of quality of life. Thank you.

Moving Downtown

Hey! I currently live downtown and have had a really rough time with my current property management company. I’m looking to move out of my space and just want to get advice from those living downtown that have had good experiences in their space.

I would prefer to have in unit laundry and central air. Maintenance being on top of taking care of the place is also very important to me. I’d also prefer to stay away from centric.

Any advice would help!

Babb's coffee

So I just had my first $11+ coffee. I think it was actually higher than airport prices. I just went to babbs in Jamestown for a 20oz iced breve, single flavor no extras, it came to almost twelve dollars before tip. And their prices aren't posted on the menu anywhere that I saw, I even kind of tried to glance after I paid just to see if I missed something.

Does the babbs in fargo have outrageous prices too? The person that took me there thought they had the same owners. I think i've been there a couple of years ago and I don't remember it being double the price of chain coffee, but I know things have gone up a lot in the last couple of years.

Rep. Jim Kasper of Fargo's District 46 should resign

Watch the full episode: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OVhi4ME8TpY

Rep. Jim Kasper of District 46 in Fargo has been largely off the job for more than a year after a brain bleed. He should resign, or demonstrate to the voters that he can still do the job, but it seems likely he’s waiting to resign until after August 1st so that voters don’t get a chance to cast their ballots for his replacement this November.

Fargo costco workers, do they drug test orally or through urine?

Before you ask, yes I am quitting usage of THC products until after I am hired. However, I was a 2-3 times a week user before, and that can show up on urine test even 30 days after your last use. Whereas oral testing only test positive from recent usage.

If its oral it means I can try applying now, if its urine, it means I need to wait longer before applying.

If anyone has experience with the costco in fargo and how they tend to drug test, I would greatly appreciate the information.

Sanford Fertility vs MSP clinics?

Looking for experiences with Sanford Fertility versus traveling to a larger fertility clinic in MSP while doing local monitoring.

Starting to think seriously about IVF and considering whether to stay with Sanford or seek treatment at a larger center such as RMIA, CCRM, etc., while doing monitoring locally.

If you traveled to a larger clinic, how difficult was coordinating local monitoring with an out-of-state clinic? Who did the local monitoring for you?

Thanks for any experiences or advice you’re willing to share.

Excuse the crosspost...

I'm trying to find a good lake to go swimming. I've heard big Detroit Lake is full of swimmer's itch, and the pool at Buffalo River is well, a pool.

Camping at the lake would also be a bonus.

Wheelchair accessible activities/areas in Fargo?

Hi all, I'm working with a client starting next week, and they are a full-time wheelchair user with an intellectual disability. I've been trying to come up with different places that may be fun yet accessible. So far I've thought of:

The zoo,

Walk around Scheels,

Maplewood Park,

Walk around West Acres Mall,

and the movie theater

Best car insurance for 34 year old with good driving record

I'm moving to Fargo soon from Puerto Rico and I wanted to know which car insurance do you guys think is best. Some people irl have told me USAA but I'm not military so I can't join USAA. In Puerto Rico we had AllState but that was about it. I also heard that car insurance is paid monthly is that true? Because in Puerto Rico we pay yearly and for my age its about $900 a year and I prefer to pay for things yearly over monthly.

What's the story with city council petition signature vertification?

My son got a postcard (he signed it) but I have not. I've seen it discussed on social media. Apparently some people who may well have signed the petition don't recall doing it and sent postcards saying they don't think they did (seems like they could just have them return with signature and then use that to verify the signature provided at the time).

Do they send cards to everyone or is there a sampling process or what?

Edit--I did get a card, I heard about someone who got two. I never was able to find anything saying whether it's a sampling or if they send to everyone. I don't recall having gotten a card for previous petitions, but they were state not city as far as I can recall.
