Space Ballroom Show
Anyone going to the May 14 show in Hamden CT? I bought tickets through the venue which were through Eventbrite. I’m on the Eventbrite app and it says my tickets are confirmed but it also says “The organizer isn’t offering electronic tickets right now” so there’s no barcode to scan or confirmation that we will get in. Has anyone experienced this with this venue or any other Failure shows?
Take it people don't like the new album?
People were posting about it on day 1 of release now just radio silence. Never witnessed this reaction to a band's new album
Sound Quality of Location Lost
Something I’ve noticed that is crucial for this album, is having a good system. Bluetooth, of course obviously just a phone speaker or something, stuff like that, it just doesn’t cut it. If you have decent speakers and/or headphones with a good source, you’re going to hear so much more. There’s a lot of meat on the bone that you just can’t hear if you’re listening with the “wrong” equipment. I’m not shaming anyone for not being an annoying audiophile or audio enthusiast like myself, it’s just something I’ve noticed is abnormally noticeable on this record. They’ve released it in hi res lossless and if you’re getting that true signal through good equipment you’re going to hear a lot that you’ve probably just not been able to hear otherwise. That’s one thing we can never question Ken about, his stuff is going to sound amazing. This also applies to a good TT with a good phono preamp, etc. Or the CD through a good transport to your dac and on through the amp/hp amp to speakers/headphones. A lot of albums that weren’t recorded, mixed and mastered well, albums that are too compressed etc will sound like shit regardless. But if Ken Andrews, Trent Reznor, guys like that were involved, it’s highly noticeable. Just take that into consideration if you will. I heard these songs through a Bluetooth speaker first, but after I listened through my system(s), I couldn’t believe how obvious this one was. Best wishes to Ken. I feel like he’s still in recovery from his back surgery. Much love to all, rock on 🤘🏼!!!
Lost Droid: Alternate album tracklist concept
Both Location Lost and Wild Type Droid are Failure's shortest albums since Comfort. The shorter tracklists and choice to not have Segue tracks have resulted in albums that aren't bad, by any means, but feel scaled back and more relaxed. Less ambitious. So I thought it would be fun to try to blend the two albums together, cutting some songs out, and rearranging the track order to make one, slightly longer album. I ended up settling on this, and edited together some artwork.
Crash Test Delayed
Solid State
Undecided
Half Moon
The Air's On Fire
Location Lost
Headstand
A Lifetime Of Joy
Submarines
Someday Soon
The Rising Skyline
A Way Down
Moonlight Understands
I really like Solid State coming after Crash Test Delayed, it keeps the energy higher than the very quick comedown in mood that The Rising Skyline provides. Half Moon's atmospheric ending feels like a quick Segue track before The Air's On Fire fades in. Someday Soon is great after Submarines. I know it might be missing some people's favourites, but I think it works well. Not implying this is better than either of the two albums, just a different take.

Tribute Album: Help!
About 20 years ago, after "Fantastic Planet" but maybe before "Golden", there was an imdie Failure tribute album. Does anyone have it or know about it? I wrote one of the liner notes, which were all fan-submitted. I lost the CD during an acidic break-up.
I don't remember much about the project, but I am reasonably sure that it featured On A Dead Machine performing a song from "Comfort."
Can anyone help with information or anything else?
Location Lost Release Thread. Post your reactions!
After having listened to the entire album, I love it but at a loss for words to even describe it. I knew it was going to be different but was not expecting this. I’ll have to listen to it a few more times for it to set in but curious to what everyone else thinks.

Location Lost present
I just want to give a big thank you to Failure for releasing an album on my birthday. Incredibly thoughtful. So far it’s the best present I’ve gotten.
A lot of these songs are taking me back to the vibe and sound I felt with Fantastic Planet. Solid State is really sticking out for me after the first playthrough.
songs like screen man?
ive been quite obsessed with this song for a while, but i find their other songs haven't got the same darkness to them - or atleast i haven't tried hard enough to. can anyone recommend similar? :))
ig the closest "vibe match" i can think of personally is I dreamed I dream by sonic youth. different but also dark.
