Wanted to challenge myself to a different build and honestly it was 10x easier than standard Dualsense controllers. Jury is still out on the feeling/performance of the back paddled but I’ll give it some time to get used to. I would really love to have a clicky trigger kit with this.

I just installed the clicky sets on my Series 2. I haven’t yet assembled it again. The video recommends waiting 24 hours to use controller. Has anyone who has installed these really waited that long/and or has had issues. It’s been about 2 hours since i’ve put them on.
First time I’ve ever worked on a joycon, I’ll admit. I’ve done several switch lites and my steam deck with little to no issue. But I’ve probably been sitting here for about an hour trying to get this back part of the joycon to lay flat and clip in to no avail. I’ve looked at all the screws at least that are easily available, I’ve messed with different positions of the “release” tab / metal bar… I’m stumped. Does this warrant a complete tear down and checking other screws? Any advice is welcome. This one’s really testing me. Sorry this video isn’t super great, let me know if you have any questions.
Decided to have multi colored face buttons. Itll also help my kids when I tell them which button they need to press.

I was gifted the kit as my nephew never got round to fitting it and sold his ps5 etc. I installed it just over a week ago and the K1 button become less and less clicking ive popped the case off to see its snapped.
Is their a place i can buy a replacement from at all?

If I use one of the various Rise kits to remap R3 and L3 to rear paddles, does it disable the R3 and L3 when clicking the thumbstick or does it simply add it to the rear as well? I'm constantly pressing L3 when I'm moving around and would love to stop that from happening.
It looks like eXtremeRate is selling less colours for the Dse as time goes on. Has anyone cut their own original D-pads to split buttons?
I want to buy the eXtremeRate replacement button set for my BDM-050 DualSense controller.
I noticed that Sony changed the L2/R2 trigger pivot rod from metal to plastic on the BDM-050 revision. From what I’ve seen, the triggers already have slightly more wobble because of the plastic rod, and I’ve also heard that the trigger hole diameter may have been changed as well.
I know the eXtremeRate triggers are compatible with the BDM-050, but I still have a few questions:
-Did the trigger hole diameter actually change compared to older BDM revisions?
-If so, do the eXtremeRate triggers wobble more on the BDM-050 than the original Sony triggers?
-Has anyone directly compared trigger stability between BDM-030/040 and BDM-050 after installing eXtremeRate buttons?
I’d really appreciate any firsthand experience or technical insight.
If I get, specifically the Rise 4 Plus Max the backpaddle kit, whats the backpaddle programming like?
1)each paddle only can program one of the buttons?
Or able to
2)program a combi of buttons in sequence (if yes what's the max count of buttons)
3)program a combi of buttons simultaneously?
as in the title, I just installed the clicky face buttons for the BDM-060 and now R1, R2, L1, and L2 do nothing. when assembling i thought it was wierd that the new board doesn't have anything under them, but i just followed thentutorial sent with the package. indeed, there's no contacts under them anymore.
First off, I’ll say that I have learned my lesson with trying to install these kits and will stay in my lane moving forward. 3 hours in and nothing to show for it (in fact i may have ruined my controller (equal parts negligence and frustration)) but nonetheless, i wanted to know if anyone else noticed that their triggers wouldn’t register when the ribbon from the touch pad would get connected to the ribbon that would be stuck on to the battery. I noticed that when i would disconnect these 2, the triggers would both register. I wonder if im somehow shorting the circuit to bypass the triggers. Can offer a whopping $10 just for the education on how this all works!!
I've had the kit for months now and its been working great, until I did a full shell replacement. First, my left clicky trigger does not register. I opened the controller up again and again checking my connections, all seemed well. Then I realized the back paddle LED lights are no longer lighting up. Also, I just found out the PS button isn't working too, ugh
I may have torn part of the FPC contact (see image). And I also think the clicky trigger ribbon cables may have been damaged (its been folded in palces, but doesn't appear to have any scratches, hence the electric tape). But the touchpad is working still.
Is it possible to buy replacement cables only and not the whole kit? What could have went wrong when I opened it up?
Hi I'm new here and I'm confused about how to order the back and front shell.
I bought a Rise4 v2 with back shell white. And the while isn't seamless with the original white dualsense.
I looked at the shells for sale on Extremerate website but none of them are white without design.
How am I suppose to find a front shell that fits the colour of the white shell?
I‘ve never modded my controller and I would also need to solder, which I have never tried before and I don‘t even think that I could do it. Are there people who I could send the parts and the controller to so they can assemble them for me? Just a question for now, I don‘t know when or even if I‘m going to order the parts, and I live in germany, if that‘s a necessary information.
Is there a fix or has this kit just ruined my joycons?
Basically swapped my chassis for a Dpad version and the rails to atomic purple, but I did one side first to test. And now the joycon can move a fair bit while attached to the console. Which is worrying for handheld play for obvious reasons. Now I'm wanting to put my stock rails back just for the piece of mind.

I’ve been using the eXtremeRate Rise4 V3 paddles on my PS5 controller and overall I actually like them. Everything works fine and the quality is good.
My only issue is my grip style. I don’t use my middle fingers for the paddles, I use my ring fingers instead. I know that’s a bit unusual but it just feels more natural to me. I’ve always played like this, even on PS4 with the Sony back button attachment and also now on the DualSense Edge.
Because of that, the Rise4 V3 paddles feel a bit too short and also positioned too high for me. It’s kind of uncomfortable to reach them consistently with my ring fingers.
So I wanted to ask if there are any alternative paddles or replacement parts that fit the Rise4 V3 but have a different shape or are longer. Or maybe someone has found a workaround or mod to adjust them.
Would really appreciate any tips or ideas, especially from people who also don’t use the standard middle finger grip. 😃

I’m planning a complex "double-mod" for my PS5 DualSense (BDM-050) and need to verify a specific technical step.
Current Setup:
I have already installed the eXtremeRate SPARK kit. The back paddles and the integrated trigger-stop functionality (L2/R2 clicks) are working perfectly.
The Goal:
I want to add the eXtremeRate Whole Set - Light Version Clicky Kit V2.
I specifically need the L1/R1 Clicky (which are not available in the V3 Tactile kit).
I want the Face Buttons (D-pad & Action) to have a clicky feel but with an actuation force close to stock (hence choosing Light V2 over Strong).
I am also installing an eXtremeRate Front Shell (Faceplate) to ensure a better fit and eliminate housing gaps.
The Question regarding "The Surgery":
I’ve seen a video (https://youtu.be/SouIN\_DZJFM?t=2015) where the L2/R2 ribbons were simply cut off from a Clicky Kit to make it compatible with a RISE4 Plus MAX.
Since the SPARK kit has the same integrated trigger-stop architecture as the Plus MAX, I assume the process is identical.
Can I safely cut the L2/R2 ribbons on the V2 Light Kit and still have fully functional L1/R1 and Face Buttons?
