Decide for your self if this is for you. The name of the drama is Ice War: Three Kingdoms.
The drama is an Action Adventure Quest and each episode is only 5:00 long. Ice War: Three Kingdoms definitely is not PG as posted. The drama played more like a video game and most certainly will appeal to that market population who plays video games and who like that environment. Those who like anime also may like AI generated content dramas. At times, the graphics are extremely life-like. I could swear that I have seen a couple of the character images from the drama before. None looked like images of top name actors. These dramas are very detailed, even showing frozen breath.
Ice War: Three Kingdoms is on iQIYI.

[Note: Yes, I know that guy is not the male lead of Boyfriend on Demand, at least not the main]
I don't know if it's only me, but I recently came across a c-drama "The Seven Relics of ill Omen" that I've heard good opinions on, but I just can't get through. Like I love the cast, and the reason I found out about this show was by an edit, where the two leads seemed to have a really great dynamic, but as I'm watching the thing, Idk.
First thing that came to my mind after I saw the Luo Ren character was the Eun-oh Sonbe from Boyfriend on Demand. Again, I love the cast, but those characters are just so plain. I write stories as a hobby and a even I now that a general rule about characters is that they have flaws, but the only flaw I see with these guys is that they walk depressed, all they when they don't spend enough time with FL. I think this should be called femaleleadholism at this point. Also, the female lead is cool and all, but she seems too unbothered by everything that's going on around sometimes. I don't want to give spoilers, but I think someone can agree with me.
I give that the two have fun bits sometimes, but that's not enough for me.
I'm at ep 7 right now, and I have to force myself to even attempt to consider continuing. I know that I should probably drop, but I'm a type that tries to finish what I start (at least in tv show sense).
So I'd love to hear your opinion if the show may be better later on, and I should stick?
Also, to avoid future debates like this, what are your (cjk) dramas that you can definitely say aren't worth anyone's time?
The Korean drama ‘Spice Up Our Love’ is your Kdrama ticket to a special Kdrama game. Did you catch this when you viewed the drama? In each story arc, there is an embedded homage paid to various beloved Korean dramas and Korean Drama Actors. How many of each did you identify as the storyline goes forth? I will get you started.
Spice Up Our Love is a spin-off from No Gain No Love (2024) which starred Shin Min Ah and Kim Young Dae. Spice Up Our Love stars actress Han Ji-Hyun as a Spicy Fiction Romance writer who gets pulled into her own drama. The Male Lead is Lee Sang-Yi, and there is a transfer character and love interest Lee You-Jin. All three were prominent in No Gain No Love as well.
As the story rolls, see how many Korean Dramas and Stars hinted at in the action you can identify. Here goes.
Here are all the drama embeds I found. How many dramas did you find mentioned in Spice Up Our Love?
🌟1, 2, 3, The opening arc in Spice Up Our Love is clearly an homage to My Secret Romance (2017). The drunken “One Night Stand” rendezvous of the female lead with the guy who eventually turns out to be her new boss makes this evident. She is even a nutritionist in the cafeteria of the Company in the storyline, as was the case in My Secret Romance. Within the story arc you also get a homage to ‘No Gain No Love’, where the CEO said that he never ate in the Company cafeteria before, but would start doing so now. This is taken directly from the dialogue of My Secret Romance. In addition, the female lead has to satisfy her boss’s taste in food. Notice that the nutritionist has to make the same dish over and over and the dish keeps getting rejected. That is a scene from Business Proposal. Even the Company Badges are the same.
🌟4 Can anyone think of the Korean drama of the guy who was looking for the nostalgic taste of food he had as a Kid? It was mentioned in this arc. Okay, I think it was the Korean Drama Chocolate. This was about a hardened doctor who was softened by childhood comfort food cooked by the female lead in the story.
🌟5 Seeing her Boyfriend at a restaurant with another woman and then he suggests that that they break up is Something in the Rain. This was one of the opening scenes.
🌟6 The Male Secretary in the fantasy was named Kim Do Gyeom. Gyeom (겸) in Korean means something or someone who can act as two different things at the same time. The transfer character that the fictional writer in the story had a crush on in No Gain No Love was a Secretary and the Secretary in Spice Up Our Love is named Secretary Kim. I think that they are tapping into What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim?
🌟7 The fantasy writer in Spice Up Our Love gets sucked into the story she is writing. This is W: Two Worlds.
Suddenly, everything around the fantasy writer morphs into the man from whom she is running away. He becomes a reoccurring character.
🌟8 A homage is made to Song Joong Ki on a billboard, as the writer makes her way home. It is a Korean drama thing now to have Song Joong Ki make a guest appearance in your Korean Drama. It is a little ironic that the Song Joong Ki turns into the male lead in a Korean drama which gives homage in a story arcs to memorable Korean Dramas? Is this not what happened in Queen of Tears, Song Joong Ki naming five of his drama?
🌟 9 Homage is paid next to Cha Eun Woo from True Beauty.
🌟10 The Ghada Chocolate is highlighted. It is made by the modern day rich Chaebol Family Lotte. I just came back from South Korea. Lotte buildings are prominent everywhere in South Korea. This is a major Chaebol Family. They even own a famous tower in Seoul, South Korea.
Also the owner of the Convenience store in No Gain No Love keeps popping up in Spice Up Our Love, as a Doctor, a Bus Driver, and taxi driver. He is the reoccurring character.
🌟11 The Korean Drama where the Webtoon characters had no control over their bodies or action for period of time while they act out a drama within a drama is clearly Extraordinary You.
🌟12 The purposeful leap from “The Roof and Hero Savior Rescue” scene reminded me of Tale of the Nine-Tailed.
End of Episode 1. And this was also the end of the Korean Drama Embed Game: Match Up of Korean Drama.
