Jobs for 14 year olds?

Hi! I am asking this subreddit because unfortunately I don't know where to go! I am fourteen, and have been told I NEED a job for this summer/fall by my parents. The only place I am aware of that hires at 14 is Urban Air, and I was rejected for not being able to work during school hours. (During the Summer I am free, but during school I can't work before 4:15). So I am coming here to ask if anyone knows anymore jobs that hire at 14 in the Denver area, or if anyone here has any jobs open that they would hire at 14! I have called most fast food places in my area, they all hire at 16. Please let me know, and I appreciate any help!!

Seeking Advice on Active Fully Remote Jobs

Hi everyone,

I'm currently searching for a fully remote position and would appreciate any advice, leads, or company recommendations from people who have recently had success finding remote work.

My background includes:

  • Virtual medical assistance
  • Patient scheduling and coordination
  • Administrative support

I've been applying through LinkedIn, Indeed, and company career pages, but I'd love to hear about companies that are actively hiring remote workers right now.

If you've landed a remote job recently, I'd be grateful to know which companies, job boards, or strategies worked best for you.

Thank you in advance for any advice or referrals!

Is anyone actually hiring or am I just being fucked with

I have been looking for work since October of last year when my last employer dumped me and replaced me with AI. I was there for three years and had asked about a raise. Lo and behold when I finally get a meeting with my supervisor to talk about it, after he ghosted me, I’m informed that my position was being eliminated. Fuck you, Peter.

I have been applying daily and no matter what I do, no matter where I interview, how good it seems to go, I keep getting the brush off, sometimes hours after I interviewed. I am sick and tired of this fucking bullshit.

Anyone having luck getting web dev roles in the Denver area right now?

Hi all. I live in Denver and have web development experience, including a lengthy contract role at a bank and contributions to a variety of volunteer projects. I got laid off a few years ago and have had very little traction in the market since then, despite working with a career coach and trying a number of different strategies. I'm trying to gauge how the market is here versus in other areas of the country, and I'm hearing lots of conflicting information about it. Wondering if anyone has had success getting a role like this in the area? Thanks!

Firefighter (24 on / 48 off) Looking for Flexible Side Job Ideas Around Denver – What Has Actually Worked for You?

Hey everyone,

I'm a firefighter in the Denver area working a 24-on, 48-off schedule and I'm looking for a side job that can accommodate those hours. Ideally, I'd like something flexible where I can work when I'm available rather than being locked into a traditional set schedule.

I have a background in retail, but most retail positions don't seem to line up well with the schedule I'm looking for. Right now, I'm taking home inspection courses and that's one avenue I'm seriously considering. I'd also be interested in hearing about home inspection companies around Denver that have worked well with firefighters or other shift workers if anyone has experience with that.

I've spent quite a bit of time researching options online, and there are plenty of articles listing side hustles and flexible jobs. The information is helpful, but I'd really like to hear from people who have actually been in a similar situation and found something that worked long-term.

I'm not necessarily tied to any one field and I'm completely willing to learn something new if it's a good fit.

For those of you who work a firefighter-style schedule (24/48, 48/96, etc.):

  • What side jobs have you had success with?
  • Which ones sounded good on paper but didn't work out in reality?
  • How flexible were they?
  • What kind of income did they realistically provide?
  • If you're doing home inspections, how difficult was it to get started and build a client base?

I'm open to hearing about anything.

Thanks in advance. I'd especially appreciate hearing from people who have actually done it or have some ideas rather than me continuing to check Indeed and other jobs sites all day. I'd love to hear what's worked (or hasn't worked) for firefighters and other shift workers in the Denver area.
