How do you get better at dance?

I’ve been dancing for about a year and I haven’t really improved. How can I improve my dancing skills at home? I’m in a dance class but (it lowkey sucks) doesn’t help us learn how to improve only tells us how to do the dance recital.

So I’m wondering how can I improve at home? I’m wanting to be a dancer at six flags. I have 8-9 months left. And do yall think I could work there from 8-9 months of practice

Original vs Replica Shoes

I would like to know whats your thoughts on wearing either original or replica shoes for dancing. So Ive been dancing almost all the time using replica shoes and could it affect the quality of my performance or the way i move? Ive been thinking about it lately since ive always thought to myself that being a good dancer means being able to dance on any shoes. So is it much better investing in original shoes for dancing? Will it make a difference on the way i execute my movements?

Hello dancers,

I'm a software engineer from romania and i've been dancing for almost 5 years now. if you've ever tried to review choreography after practice you probably know the pain. someone filmed from the left, someone else from the front, the videos are all different lengths, they're buried in 3 different whatsapp groups, and your notes are in some random google doc that nobody opens.

I got fed up and built something. it's called coreofi and it's basically a web app for the whole choreo workflow, listening, designing, learning, teaching, sharing, reviewing, improving, without jumping between 5 different apps.

The main things it does:

  1. You upload up to 4 videos of the same routine and it syncs them to the master audio automatically (audio fingerprinting, no manual alignment)

  2. You can write choreo notes with timestamps and colored section tags that actually jump to that moment in the music when you click them

  3. Waveform with section markers (intro, chorus, verse etc.) + auto bpm detection

  4. Share the whole project with your class/group through an invite code

  5. Export clean mp4s with the actual song audio instead of the terrible phone mic version

Runs directly in the browser, nothing to install, works on phones, best on laptop. no tracking, no ads, data stored in the eu.

Right now it's in closed alpha and completely free. I m letting people in slowly so i can actually process feedback. If you test it during alpha you'll keep free access longer + some extras when the paid version comes.

Please feel free to mess around with the demo without signing up: https://www.coreofi.com/demo

If you want an actual invite code, reddit dms are fine but i prefer a dm on instagram (@ coreofi)(. i just ask that so i know you're a real person and not a bot.

Honestly i d love to hear what you think. What's annoying about your current setup? what would you actually want from something like this?
