Hey Dana Point! If you're graduating this year and heading to college, university, or trade school, the Dana Point Historical Society is giving away two $1,000 scholarships and the deadline is in TWO DAYS.

Who can apply: Anyone graduating high school who lives in Dana Point (zip 92629 or 92624) and is planning to continue their education — college, community college, or trade school all count.

What they're looking for: Financial need, interest in history, and community service. You don't have to be a history major.

The scholarships honor two incredible local women: Doris I. Walker (historian, author, founding DPHS member) and Barbara F. Johannes (President Emeritus and Historian of the Dana Point Historical Society).
