My dad with the dog he INSISTED my mom could not bring home

He was vehemently opposed to having another dog after I moved out of the house with my dog and their senior dog passed away. Now they are best friends and snuggle like this every single day.

My husband and the cat he didn't want.

He gave in and let me adopt this cat when I found out I couldn't have more kids. They're besties now.

If you're wondering what breed this cat is, he is a genuine, pure bred "hawk dropped him in a field." It's pretty rare but worth the find.

The kids picked out a new cat, whom I did not particularly want, and now he lives on my shoulders, which are raw and bloody from kitten claws

He refuses to admit he likes the cats

Damian was "my mom's cat," despite her also protesting she never wanted a cat. Since Mom passed, Dames has latched on to dad, a self-proclaimed cat hater.

Never mind the fact that it was ME who brought him in and raised him from kittenhopd and buys him food and toys and friends and...oh well. At least I have the dog and cat #3...
