I’ve been working at the Oberoi for the past year. Since I started, my Restaurant Manager has frequently made derogatory, "racist" remarks about my community and my home city. I’m from Cuttack, and he constantly puts it down. Up until now, I usually let it slide just to keep my head down and do my job.
Today, things took a dark turn. We were having a discussion involving the BJP, and he snapped. He became extremely aggressive and started verbally abusing me, my background, and my city. It wasn’t just a disagreement; it was a targeted, hateful attack.
I’m shaken up and I don’t know what my next move should be. This is a prestigious brand, and I’m worried about my career, but I can’t stand being treated like this anymore.
