I asked ai to make my wheels, and decks black. Even though I love the original and hate to make it “non original”, I really like the black. What do we think?
2020 Cub Cadet xt2 GX 54D 26hp - Clutch Pulley Bolt Torque Specs
Hi,
As my title says, does anyone know the torque specs for the electric clutch PTO pulley on a 2020 XT2 GX 54D 26hp? This is the same shaft the drive belt sits above. See attached pictures.
When I cracked her loose yesterday, it was a bear to get loose and took a lot of force to remove because the factory installed it with loctite.
Im having trouble getting my Cub Cadet LT1018 to start.
It used to be that the engine cranked slowly but would fire up...but if it didnt start fairly quickly I would have to charge the battery.
However, for the last week when I try to start the mower it just clicks. The digital meter on the dash was reading 9.5 when I would turn the key. Now the meter on the dash just kind of fades to nothing.
My voltage meter is reading that the battery is fully charged and good. The solenoid is clicking...I checked it with a circuit tester and both sides of solenoid light up when key is turned. The positive wire into starter also lights up when I check it with circuit tester and key on.
I‘m certainly no small engine repairman. Anyone able to provide me with some guidance? Is it possible the starter is bad?
Thanks
Starter issues? CC30H
Doe this seem like the starter or something else?

Sometimes it tries to start sometimes it squeals and sometimes it just clicks
Hey all so our 2166 after many years of faithful service has decided this winter was one too many. As you can see in the video she’ll crank for a while then KABOOM out the exhaust. We checked the gas and regapped the plug so it’s not that. Has anyone else had this problem? I tried Googling but it’s all about backfires while running or turning the engine off. Any suggestions on what to check next with having to tear the engine apart?
Cub cadet RZT S zero turn. Ran over a stick and appears to have sheared this blade. Thoughts on repairs..?
Specifically blade models:
742P05576
and
490-110-F191
I called Cub Cadet support number, and the person there assured me the ultra blades provide more lift. Which makes sense, but looking around various (scarce) sources, some mention those blades are identical. They are just a new packaging model number.
I want to install a bagger on a Cub Cadet Ultima Z2. And I'm trying to decide if it's worth getting those Ultra High-Lift blades or not. Don't want to buy them if they end up being exactly the same as my stock blades that came with the mower.
Got a new battery & turned it on for about 2 seconds, then stopped. Tried it again & it will not turn over. It's been about 6 months since I have used it. Added some new gas. Any idea on what else I should be looking at? Thank you.
Finally enjoying my 1872 after working out all the bugs. Thought I'd want a 54" GT deck but I'm really impressed with the older 50c.
It was too wet ( and got rained out while doing it 🙄) but tried the marketplace find cultivator out. It did better than I expected it to.
Hi, I have a 2023 Cub Cadet XT1 LT50 The battery that came with the mower is a model number 725-17335 12 volt, AH 11 Cold Cranking AMP 210 battery. It lasted 1 year. I bought an exact replacement, and it is failing as well. I keep it charged. My question is can I buy a regular lawn mover battery at Lowes and use it instead. If so would it damage the engine in any way and how would I install it since the regular lawn mower batteries I see are larger. I am not a mechanic, so I don't know much about the mower or batteries. Also, can you recommend (provide a link) to a good battery and battery charger. I am not sure what to buy. One more question, how do you easily get the screw that hold the battery cables in to line up with the nut below. I struggle with this so much, the nut moves around and I cannot get the screw lined up properly.
So I got a brand new XT1 42 and did the first mow with it the other day. I noticed though that when trying to reverse, the engine was shutting off until I let go of reverse before it fully died. Is this a safety feature or something when the blades are engaged or something similar? It doesn’t happen when reversing it out of my garage and the blades aren’t engaged.
I bought a brand new ZT1 42IP less than 6 months ago. Used less than 10 times. Yesterday while mowing i shut it off and went to turn it back on, engine started right but the PTO will not engage when pulling the switch. Any ideas to troubleshoot?
