Independent Euro Car Shops near Clear Lake?

Hey y’all, my Alfa dealer is shutting down and the other one is way too expensive. Any recommendations for a trusted independent shop around Clear Lake / Webster / League City that works on Alfa Romeos (or Euro cars in general)?

Appreciate it!

Apartment hunting for Southeast Houston

Hello y’all!

I currently got a job offer to move to Houston from out of state. I’m currently trying to research apartments to live in but I’m a tad overwhelmed and would love help from locals on recommendations, places to avoid, etc haha. More specifically the area I’d be working in is Clear Lake City

Some info:

-Monthly pre-tax income is 5.5k so I don’t want to be spending an absurd amount of money on rent.

-Looking for either studios or 1b1b units.

I’ve taken a gander at units in Webster/League City because the commute being relatively short, but I don’t know if there’s a nicer place somewhere else. Or if that area is unsafe/run down

Thank you for the help!

Hey everyone

I’m honestly really disappointed to be writing this, but I won’t be able to attend Los Angeles Lakers at Houston Rockets (Game 6 – Houston Home Game 3) this Friday, May 1 at 8:30 PM at Toyota Center due to an unexpected family situation.

These are my personal seats, and I was really looking forward to this game, so it’s not easy letting them go.

I have 5 seats together in Section 104, Row 13 (Seats 3–7) great view and perfect for a group or split. More than anything, I’d love for them to go to real fans who will enjoy the moment and atmosphere as much as I would have.

If you’re interested, please message me or text +1 470 471 8528 for pricing and details. It would genuinely mean a lot knowing they’re going to good hands

Infant childcare in Clear Lake area?

Does anyone here have strong opinions one way or the other about infant childcare centers in the Clear Lake area? We’re trying to narrow down our list of places to consider. Ideally, we would like to stay in the clear lake area, as we commute in opposite directions.

Bonus if you know what rates tend to run.

Are you interested in TTRPGs?

Hello! Have you been interested in learning more about Table Top Role Playing games (like Dungeons and Dragons)?

A Game Master is running FREE learn to play sessions of the following games at Third Coast Games in Friendswood and then will run full campaigns depending on the level of interest. So if you’re interested, please sign up and turn up so that we can have these games run for us (I’m a DnD player and desperately want more regular games that are not DnD).

(1) Cyberpunk RED - Sun 17th May 1pm

(2) Call of Cthulhu - Sun 24th May 1pm

(3) WoD: Vampire the Masquerade & Hunter the Reckoning - Sun 31st May 1pm

While the LTP sessions are on Sundays, not sure what days the actual campaigns will be run.

You can call the store and sign up for the session(s) directly.

NOTE: they currently run 4 weekly DnD games at the store if you’re interested.

University of Houstan Clear Lake Masters in Biotechnology program

Hello everyone. I am planning to apply to the masters of Biotechnology program at U of H Clear Lake. Anyone who is in this program currently? I have few questions. Do they offer online classes? I live in Corpus Christi and want to start this fall. Moving to Houstan with an 8 year old and next one on the way, seems challenging to me. Any recommendations on how to plan accordingly? Thanks alot.

MIS in UHCL

How is the Master of Management Information Systems (MIS) program at UHCL? I’ve just received my admission offer from the university. The tuition is a bit pricey, and I’m wondering about the job prospects for this major after graduation. In addition, I completed my bachelor’s degree in English. Would it be quite challenging for me as a non-technical major to switch into this program? Thanks for your reply!
