Made a Female Desert Ranger Critter

This is a female NCR/Desert Ranger series of sprites I made for Fallout 1/2, I was kindly commissioned for this.

It features (I think) every animation needed for a playable character: walking, idles, weapon and deaths.
Bar a few exceptions, I painstakingly copied every animation and tried my best to make them similar to the OGs - including the animation itself and frame count.

There are a few frame alignement issues ingame, mostly with some walking and big gun animations, this is due to the Fallout 2 engine being an incredible pain in the neck.
I will fix them in the future but if anybody wants to take a crack at it, be my guest!

Feel free to use it for any of your mods, just credit me (GoatBoy11):

This year’s case was Thermaltake view 600 TG.

This build is called War Rig cause it’s Mad Max’s rooted.

Everything you see is as real as I could achieve.

It means bullet holes are real (I shot the case), dirt comes from my car’s exhaust pipes, etc.

Only 3D printed part is the GPU cover that I did with Palit Maker (very wonderful custom system that I highly recommend).

It was a wonderful experience and I met a lot of fabulous people ! See yall in Taipei for Computex.

You can check all competitors build and vote your favorite here : https://community.thermaltake.com/index.php?/topic/671431-final-voting-starts-now-april-22nd-may-7th-2026/

My fallout 2 character: Tala

She may lack the intelligence and charisma, but she sure can wield the biggest guns in the wasteland.

Little doodlez I did, I can't even draw😭😭

After dying to them for an hour, I decided to go off and grind (not too long, just an hour or two) and i think I'm a bit more prepared. but I'm just a beginner so idk if it is

Jet Addiction

When I was playing my first playthrough of Fallout 2 I got a jet addiction very early into the game and was struggling with fights that I constantly had to rely on jet and eventually I made it a mission to get the cure and I had to jump through so many things to be able to get it, but honestly it made it engaging and kinda fun, but also frustrating. I was wondering if anyone else had this issue when they went into the game blind without knowing a thing 😭 and how did you manage it or handle it.

Before I start, this is not supposed to be an attack on your favorite Fallout, but sharing my opinion and asking for yours.

I just want to clarify I really have no "nostalgia" for any of these games. My first Fallout was 76. I just got done playing Fallout again and I thought it was great. In my first play through, I was mostly playing to say I played Fallout. This time I actually dove into some of the quests and the presentation and the world was just so captivating. I did the same with Fallout 2 at the time and wanted to give it a real shake.

The game just feels like a major downgrade from Fallout in every way imaginable. The main quest just feels like a copy of the first one but with the stakes raised even higher but with an uninteresting villain. Though the Master was clearly evil, his motivations made sense and seemed logical. The Enclave just feels generically evil. I know a lot of people hate the weird 90s references but I personally do not care about them. What bothers me is how insanely horny this game is. It feels like every encounter involves sex. I think a lot of the factions, especially the crime families in New Reno and the Shi in San Fran, are cool, but I'm just so turned off by everything around them that it makes it hard to learn about them.

I find this even more confusing as New Vegas is my favorite Fallout and a lot of the people who made Fallout 2 returned to work on New Vegas. A lot of Fallout 2 references and characters are also in New Vegas. So I say all this to ask, why do people like Fallout 2 so much?

Vault 13 quests in Fallout 1

After all these years, I’ve just found out that you can do quite a few quests in Fallout 1 from the second day of starting the game.
- Use Science on the Library computers for 700 XP.
- Persuade the guard to open the Armory, and get a Shotgun.
- Get more Stimpaks from the Overseer.
- Calm the rebels for 750 XP.
Only the Water Thief quest isn’t available

Normally I will do all of these things after 30 days. But 1550xp and Shotgun at level 1 is a great start
