Lifesavers Underground - The Best of L.S.U. (1987-1994) [Alternative]
Here’s a playlist I put together of the what I find to be the best material from Michael Knott and the band on the first six albums, which I consider a proper era, Dogfish Jones being later and different stylistically:
- Shaded Pain (1987)
- Wakin' Up The Dead (1989)
- This Is The Healing (1991)
- The Grape Prophet (1992)
- Cash In Chaos - World Tour (1993)
- Grace Shaker (1994)
Their material, especially Shaded Pain and The Grape Prophet are absolutely some of the best music ever recorded, CCM or otherwise. Here’s 5 songs from each album, in no particular order. I attempted to get the best quality versions, sometimes remasters of the tracks, that were available to me.
I will be adding timestamps and a track list. For the time being, YT should give an automatic listing of the tracks used in the video. Enjoy.
RIP Mike Knott, you are a light to a troubled world and generations....
My uncle said that megadeth is satanic, when literally mustaine is christian LOL
I know megadeth and dave mustaine are no the same thing and i know megadeth has some songs that aren't very... good for us. Like "the conjuring" but Megadeth generally focuses more on social commentary, so point is that i dont like when christians judge books by its cover but i guess this has been happening even when adam was alive
But i think they judge because my native language isn't english and they can't understand the lyrics
so in certain point its understandable
Can Christians listen to Opeth? Would love some Christian prog metal recommendations too.
I love Opeth‘s overall sound and in my opinion they have put out some of the best metal albums ever like Blackwater Park.
However, they have some iffy lyrics. Although Ghost Reveries has some controversial lyrics, I think of it more of from the POV of the person in the story, not as the opinion of the actual band themselves.
What do you guys think about Opeth? What are some christian prog band recommendations as well?
Not another “Christian bands that sound like <insert secular band here>” thread!
Okay, I want to try something different. Instead of asking for Christian bands that sound like this secular act or that secular act, how about Christian bands that have a unique sound not really replicated anywhere in secular metal?
I’ll go first: Reverorum ib Malacht. Yes, there’s black metal in there, but they’re so far off the wall in their own way that I can’t really think of a non-Christian band that sounds like them.
Christian version for a closer entrance song
Batters in MLB get their walkup music, but even better are closer's who have great entrance songs that can be played longer due to the long walk from the bullpen. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fmaOx2zEcTk I would have put Rivera #1 because in his final Yankee stadium appearance Metallica played live, but I would still put Diaz and Hoffman in the top 3.
What would be a good Christian song for a baseball closer?
I've noticed an uptick of trolls...
Yea, recently (last couple of days) there's been a handful of trolls being weirdos in the comments. Like, what gives?
Vomitorial Corpulence - Self Extinction
youtu.bePSA you should go listen to "RITUAL SERVANT" that is all
reddit.comQuestion
i recently found band called "gruesome" and I instantly loved the sound, I only listened to their latest album and it's basically deaths "human" but "reimagined"? so what I wanted to ask is, is it generally okay to listen to bands who have inverted crosses on their band logos? such as death in their first albums and etc
