So about 5 years ago I was in a CT car accident that changed my life. I got hit by a utility cable vehicle going 85 miles per hour while I was in a sedan at a full stop with traffic in left lane. I saw them hit me and have had PTSD since. There’s been a settlement, etc, but what bothers me is how it was handled by police. It ended up being a 5 car accident (me being hit, spinning into other lanes, hitting other, etc.). I wish I had more photos but I was in shock having never been in an accident. One state trooper showed up. One. No fire trucks. No other police. Nothing. One ambulance for five cars. Someone in another car got taken to the hospital first and they didn’t have a dent on their car. If I had any backseat passengers or my dog they would have died…. Somehow I survived with whip lash and bruised leg. My car was the only one this bad—and I ended up two lanes away facing the wrong direction.
My main thing is—shouldn’t more than one state trooper have showed up? I remember he yelled at me for standing outside the car because of “traffic” while I was having a panic attack and in immense pain. I had to crawl out the passenger side. Like wtf ??? A four lane highway went to ONE at a crawl. Don’t they do more for less accidents ? I just need to feel not crazy in this. My aunt died recently in a car motorcycle collision and it was a deal… I escaped death in a big way and it seem no one cared and I feel intense guilt over it.
Could someone explain to me how it’s possible that 1 car (a Range Rover) is upside down and the other car (not a very big Volkswagen) only has minor damage on the front right.
The accident happened on a rural road, where you can drive 80km per hour. The crossing where the accident happened is 50km per hour. It was during rush hour and there were lots of cars, it’s in the Netherlands, so usually not much opportunity to speed. I have some basic knowledge of physics with speed / mass / impact, but I’m just wondering if someone could indicate what could have happened here, or what would be logic for this to be the result.
Thanks For User Called ChoGGi, can Uploading On r/ carcrash is safe and fine, but someone is saying karma farmer, trim video, dislike (Downvote on Comment) please (not on video, it saying on comment) thank You!
- The accident occurred in the Novosibirsk region. The driver of a Volvo FH rear-ended a GAZelle and then collided with a Mitsubishi. As a result of the accident, the Mitsubishi driver died at the scene, and his passengers were hospitalized.
