Is anyone missing their peacock? We’ve had one hanging out in our driveway for the last couple weeks. Jackson township.

Hi, I’m an adoptee born in 1994 in Akron. In my information file about my adoption, there is a half-brother and a half-sister mentioned who were 7 and 10 at the time I was born and were also put up for adoption when they were born.

If you are a man who was born in 1986 or 1987, (probably around the Akron/Canton area) put up for adoption at or shortly after birth, and whose bio mom’s first name starts with L, I’d love to hear from you. I’ve found our older half-sister (it’s not clear if she would’ve been mentioned in your paperwork but she was born in 1984) and we both want to meet you!

If this sort of sounds like you but you’re nervous to reach out, both our sister and I have done DNA testing with Ancestry and 23&Me. If you test with either of those companies you’ll match up with one of us.

We just very recently reconnected and we’d love to meet you too. We have so much fun info to tell you if you’re curious about our family history!

For context, my husband and I currently live in North Canton School District. We are looking to move and have seen some houses in Plain but I really have no reference to know if it’s a good school district or not. Simply looking at report cards, North Canton and other school districts blow them out of the water but that’s just one aspect of school districts. I have two young children that will be starting school in the next few years so any input is appreciated.

I grew up going to Springfield local and unfortunately did not get a lot of opportunities because of lack of funding so a quality school district that has a lot to offer my children when it comes to athletics, clubs, and academics is really important to me.

Looking to go to as many as I can this summer, and also into the possibility of applying to some if the themes and vibes match my work (and if there’s still space).

I’d also especially love to get to know some other arty people in the area!

This may seem like an oxymoron but I’m looking for a progressive parish in the Canton area. What are your suggestions?

Does anyone know if this place even exists? I have not been able to get ahold of ANYONE there after calling and emailing every few days. Desperately trying to move somewhere within 45 mins of Akron. I am on a single income and have a cat so not most placed are either too expensive or won’t allow pets.
