Slight tw for abusive dad I guess? I just say that he was abusive, that's it.

Basically what the title says. My whole life I dreamed of going to art school and worked hard to get a massive scholarship to one of the best in the world. My abusive dad threatened me out of it while I was too sick to defend myself. Not gonna trauma dump any more that though, so don't worry.

I wanted to prove to myself that the middle and high school teachers who believed in me so much and helped me get that scholarship money didn't waste their efforts. Even though I was basically held hostage and prevented from graduating, I wanted to show that I still have worked hard to try to make them proud. They are even shouted out in my acknowledgements.

The additional art is just stylizrd character sketches that'll be included in the hardcover. The point of this isn't to advertise the book, but you can actually check it out for free on NetGalley if you wanted to. I really just wanted to show other artists and hopefully know I didn't let those teachers down.

If you do end up curious, I will be lurking here looking at all of your art !!!!!
