Anyone from Bokaro around 20–24?

Hey everyone, I recently shifted to Bokaro Sector 2 for some work and I’ll probably be staying here for around a year. I’m in the 20–24 age group and honestly feeling pretty alone here since I don’t know many people yet.

Looking to make some genuine friends to hang out with, chill, play badminton, or just have random conversations.

If anyone around my age is from Bokaro or nearby sectors and wants to connect, feel free to comment or DM ✌️

(Also yes, I used ChatGPT to draft this post.)

Major safety hazard from Swiggy.

Today , I ordered Chicken tikka biryani from Chicken mafia , on swiggy.

When I was chewing, I noticed something hard and metallic. It was a push pin.

This is the level to which food safety has fallen to.

After putting much effort I can say there is no hot wheels available here

I went to many shops and tried my best to get hot wheels. Some shops have the fake ones but nowhere I got to see real hot wheels. Does anyone know where to find these.

Any DPS (or ex DPS) students here? Help needed.

(Whole post has been summarised at the end but I really do suggest reading the whole thing to understand things far better)

I am specifically talking about DPS Bokaro and not the other DPS branches.

For context, I studied in Chinmaya Vidyalaya Bokaro from Class 7 to Class 10, so it is probably obvious that I am very soon moving into Class 11. The whole re admission situation is what made me start considering switching schools in the first place.

I wanted to take PCM (Science stream). DPS Bokaro has already accepted me, but Chinmaya asked me to give the improvement exam and get a better percentage before they take me in. Regardless, I was already going to give the improvement exam anyway because of another factor, but I will not get into that otherwise this post will become unnecessarily long.

So far, what me and my father have noticed is that the management at DPS Bokaro seems much better than the management at CV Bokaro. At CV, things are often unclear and operations do not feel smooth, which creates a lot of confusion among students and parents. DPS, on the other hand, seemed far more organised to us. They keep things clear, the processes are less confusing, and overall we genuinely liked how they handled things.

So now I have a decision to make between choosing CV Bokaro again or joining DPS Bokaro instead. Right now, I am leaning more towards DPS because the management felt way better to me, the overall processes seemed less annoying, and DPS also appeared much more lenient in many ways. I hope people understand what I mean by that.

The teachers and their teaching skills honestly do not matter that much to me because either way I will mostly be studying at home. In most schools, the teaching quality is not something extraordinary anyway, and even my father agrees with this. What matters more to me is the behaviour of the teachers and the overall environment.

Another thing is that most of my friends from CV are no longer there. Many of them have moved to different schools or even different cities. So the “familiar environment” factor of staying in CV does not really apply to me anymore. Also, from what I know, the Class 11 and 12 side of Chinmaya is completely different from the rest of the school anyway. So realistically, whether I join DPS or CV, the experience is going to feel new either way.

What I mainly want to know from current or ex DPS Bokaro students is whether the stories about toxicity in the school are actually true. I have heard things like older students trying to single out new students or treating them like outsiders, along with the usual bullying related stuff.

For better context, I am kind of short. I am around 5'5 at 16 years old, so yes, I have been made fun of for my height before. I would be lying if I said it would not bother me at all if someone mocked me for it. But more than that, what actually matters to me is that I do not want my studies to get affected because of unnecessary drama or toxic behaviour.

I have also heard a lot of mixed things about DPS in general, both good and bad, so I would genuinely like to hear neutral opinions from people who have actually studied there. And if there is anything else that I should know before making this decision, please do mention it.

Lastly, I would really prefer neutral answers instead of extremely biased ones. I do not want replies where someone already hates the school and only mentions the bad things while completely ignoring the good aspects. At the same time, if there is some story where a teacher targeted someone because the student themselves did something stupid, then obviously that context matters too. So if you are sharing any experience, please mention the full situation properly.

Thank you so much for reading. I am excited to read your replies.

—————————

Long story short: Need honest opinions about DPS Bokaro.

I studied in CV Bokaro from Class 7 to 10 and now I am moving to Class 11 with PCM. DPS already accepted me, while CV asked me to give the improvement exam first.

Right now, I am leaning towards DPS because the management felt way more organised and less confusing compared to CV. Most of my old friends from CV have already left anyway, so either school will feel new to me.

I mostly study at home, so teaching quality is not my main concern. What matters more is the environment.

I have heard mixed things about DPS Bokaro, especially regarding toxicity, bullying, and older students treating newcomers badly. I am around 5'5 at 16, so I have dealt with height jokes before, but I mainly do not want unnecessary drama affecting my studies.

Would appreciate neutral and honest opinions from current or ex DPS Bokaro students.

Coffee house sector-1 : paneer butter masala dosa

Honest review of Paneer butter masala dosa of coffee house sector 1 price (100rs)

  1. Worth only if you’re hungry cz it’s heavy lots of paneer stuffing inside .
    2.unlimited sambar and chutney (tasty)
  2. Extra butter is useless to add cz it’s not good in taste
  3. Overall taste is okay and price is also reasonable
    7/10
    Negatives:
  4. Hygiene is bit compromised
  5. Sanitation and water facilities less
  6. Less space area for seating maybe random strangers at one table

But still I’ll suggest do try this if you’re a dosa lover . But don’t expect a typical South Indian style.

Going to CV bokaro and have few questions.

Hey so like i was in DPS, chas from 2nd to 10th and now after boards I'm changing schools to Chinmaya for whatever reason.

I mean my admition and everything is already done. MY MAIN QUESTION IS: like how will things be thier? I mean I've heard they treat new students differently(the teachers) idk about students.

And like they don’t entertain many doubts afterclass. Don't put much effort. Which is unlikely for me cause in my old school the teachers took doubts seriously like even after classes or even sometimes you could call them.

Also how is the student ecosystem like? Are kids supportive, or like what kind of students subgroups are there?

And what's up with extra curriculars like sports, cultural fests, debates etc...

Old or current cv students please answer!

Honest review of pizza by pizza corner sector 4
Price: 80 rs for for corn pizza .
Taste is ok . Don’t expect taste like dominoes or Pizza Hut .. as they use base which are available easily at low price . And fillings are also basic like onion and corn .
Even cheese used was of local brand.
So overall . It’s okay to have rarely not regularly.
Thank you !
