Banquet records gig

So I just got tickets to the gig for banquet records on Monday the 23rd November. Can anyone who was at the last gigs there tell me what it might be like (timings, setlist ect). As it’s a small gig is there any chance for signings or something like that? It’s gonna be a great week as Im seeing them later that week in Birmingham so a bleachers filled week!

Check out my previously unreleased interview with Jack from 2002!

In 2002, I interviewed Steel Train after their set in New Jersey. The band included Jack Antonoff (of Bleachers and fun.).

I aired the interview once on my live online music show, DJ Rossstar’s Punk Rock Show, and it was never heard again by anyone… UNTIL NOW!

One of my favs from B4 and in my opinion one of their best album closers. I know it partially plays off the closer of the Steel Train album Trampoline (Women I Belong To) but there’s very little lyrical annotation on Genius and I was just wondering if anyone had any readings of the song or has seen Jack talk about it in any interviews.

I’m especially curious about the title. I always assumed it meant Waiter as in waiting staff but I realised yesterday it could also be referring to someone who waits, which may be more in keeping with the lyrical themes of the song.

I’d love to get it but I got the initial drop and the Blood Records version so I’ll prob pass. Looks good though!

When I was really moody for MCPDC, I happened upon a handful of mashups with The 1975's About You that didn't really hit it for me. There was a clear mismatch between the two songs' tempos, which came up in most of the mashups on YouTube.

I hope this mashup blends the two songs together into About You's dominant wistfulness to make it really seem like its featuring Bleachers.
