So I never really cared to get the mini, but I actually like the size I’m able to get a full grip on it

I had really bad up and down play with this adamas. It would also fail with tiniest spine whack. I live in Europe so sending it to USA seemed like too much.
I decided to try fix it myself. I used Spyderco sharpmaker diamond rod to grind away some material where the axis bar contacts the blade and about 30 mins of grinding tiny amounts and reassembling the play was gone and lockup is now rock solid.
Kind of sucks that expensive "hard use" knife had this problem, but now it feels like it was intended so I'm pretty happy.
does anyone know where i can find the real version of this? it’s sold out everywhere and was a limited run and im trying to find 1 in very good condition or new scales in this color.
My Bugout took “another” Spa Day over the weekend (wash and drier). 🤦♂️
After already buying 2 other knives in the past week, I just ordered a custom 940 w/Magnacut & carbon fiber scales. Because my other 3 Benchmades (and 20-ish nice knives) weren’t enough. Interestingly, you can get the carbon fiber & S90V combo for $25 cheaper by ordering it custom. I am all about that MagnaCut, tho. I have another knife in that steel (PM2) and love it, but no Magna BM’s.
Looks like I’m going on the instant ramen diet for awhile… 😂
Open box unused, had to scoop it up. My first benchmade!
Hey yall, i just recently became a volunteer firefighter and that allows me to get a discount on Benchmade Knifes. I work doing HVAC work and have had this knife for YEARS but looking for recommendations for an upgrade
Got my first 940 last week and after some time with it idk if I’ll truly carry anything else. At least not as a go to. I’m sure I’ll buy another Benchmade model at some point because I like to collect too, but I was just browsing the website and for the first time, nothing made me think “oooooh I need that”. 😂
More time will tell but I LOVE this knife.
So I walk into a customers home and see these knives on his coffee table. (pic 3) I say "oh is that a civivi elementum?" (it was the only one I recognized instantly.) My customer, impressed, says "sure is! you can have it!" I refuse, and he insists. although it's a $30 budget flipper knife, he still made my day with this kind gesture. I thank him for his kindness.
I go out to my work truck, when I come back in he comes from another room with a little blue box and says "hey, I want you to have this." I had it made custom but I have a lot of knives and I want you to have it. he hands me a Benchmade 533.
I'm still newer to collecting and don't own many higher end knives or even any Benchmade. once again I'm blown away by his kindness and he is ecstatic how excited I am.
now my day was really made.
anyway, I figured Id share. very excited about the new acquisitions and how I received them
Couple more I'd like to buy but quite happy with these for now. Left to right:
Barrage 580
Emissary 470-1
Emissary 3.5 477-1
Osborne 940-1
Contego 810-1401
Narrows 748
Narrows 748BK-SPL2
Picked up this Casbah at a local gun shop for 200$
Been carrying it everyday for about 6 weeks. Been pretty hard on it but so far it’s holding up nicely!! I’m glad It has the serrations! It’s got the S30V steel.
A crazy lucky find. Thought for sure it would be $200+
I have a prototype I want to display but traditional knife stands won’t hold it since it has the big ring on the end
Hopefully this doesn’t skirt the “no trades” rules.
I’m just curious which way y’all would go. I know… this is a cool knife, but I’m not a collector and worry about damaging the thing.
What say y’all?
Does anybody know what this knife may be worth, I was told it is a fairly rare knife (being a prototype)
