Pansin ko lang…

I started playing badminton since bata pa. First sport ko. From gradeschool to HS. Being varsity playing sa district meet until regionals. Then nahinto ako. Simula college until now na 37yrs old na ako. Ngayon lang ulit ako naka laro dahil dumami na court and may reclub and queuing compare before. Ayaw tumawa kahit nag kamali or kakaiba ung shot or what. As in kala mo tourna eh. Have fun. Haha. Tho siyempre di mo naman close baka nga kasi ganun. Ung mga kaclose mo or kaclub mo ba same shirt un mag tatawanan kayo. Now the comparison sa badminton community vs pickleball is ganyan. Sa pickleball kahit first time sa stacking mag tatawanan kayo. Andun ung fun. Haha. Isa palang nalalaruan ko na masaya is ung sa makati The Zone.

Whats your thoughts about pickeball?

Not to be biased but I think badminton is way better.
Are people only playing this because its new and a trend?
What's your thoughts?

*Edit: title should be pickleball

Is this normal?

Sinech itey na badminton club from etivac ang pinapagamit sa beginners/newbie ay used shuttlecocks pero 'pag sa advanced players, new shuttlecocks every game tapos siningil pa din kami ng full fee haha normal ba 'yun?

For full context:

Beginner kami lahat. First time magqueue nung dalawang friend ko then ako regular queuing sa ibang area. Nagpareserve kami ng slot a day before sa isang representative nila then we were told na 200-230 yung fee depends sa dami ng shuttlecock na magagamit. When we arrived sa court, inaccomodate naman agad kami. Also, naka-five games din. First game new pa yung shuttlecock na pinagamit pero the rest of the games puro used na, as in baliko na mga feather hahaha. I mean gets naman beginners kami and first time sa club nila pero gano'n ba talaga?

Anyway, after ng queuing nung magbabayad na, 240 siningil samin each. Also, shookt kami sa attitude nung isang qm habang nagbabayad kami. Ang uncalled for. Playing kasi sila then nagpause 'yung game nila saglit kasi magbabayad kami sakanya. For the record, wala siyang sinabi na magbayad na before that.

Lfg ulit around cavite hehe

What racket and shoes to buy?

Hello! I am going to Singapore and Malaysia this week. Saan kaya mas better mag-buy ng badminton equipment (mas mura lol) between the two? Do any of you guys have store recommendations na pwede namin puntahan.

I am a lower intermediate player and right now ang gamit kong racket is Arcsaber 11 Play. I am actually eyeing Victor Rackets and gusto ko rin i-try gumamit ng head heavy rackets. Also, may mare-reccomend din ba kayo na shoes from Victor or other brand na more on support and stability.

Thank you all.

Losing my badminton circle

Nagstart kami maglaro around 2024 at marami kami noon like nasa 10+.

Ang hirap for an intro like me na magcontinue sa laro. Tapos wala pang queueing system. huhu

May similar stories ba kayo?

Is it fair?

Hi everyone. I would just like to ask your opinion. Im just a beginner player. May foundation na, may basics nrin sa rotation. Anyway, may sinalihan ako na club here in Cdo. They charged us 35 per game, pero used and new shuttlecocks naman.

Welcoming talaga. Like nakakagulat talaga.

While dun sa isang club na tag 40 ang game, i feel so low. Halos red flag lahat as in. Umaabot lang ako 3-4 games tops. Usually ang queue time nila is 8pm to 11.30pm.

Fair ba na sumali ako sa tag 35 ang game pero used and new shuttlecocks ang gamit? Good as new naman ung used nila.

Let me know your thoughts. Thanks.

Hello everyone! I'm the guy with a gray shirt. Please watch how I play and give me some tips and advice on how to improve.

Here's what I think/feel of my gameplay:

  1. I feel so rowdy whenever I'm playing.

  2. I think my shots are predictable.

  3. Poor footwork.

Please help me 🙏

Which one to get? DriveX 3H vs AuraSpeed 33H

I am a heavy hitter, but I want to balance my play style with my racket cause I know that head-heavy rackets slows me down on the net. So this two are my current options. I can buy each for 4700 with voucher.

I recently got my hands on the not-too-long ago released Victor NCS Max (1,100 pesos for a tube of 12 pcs),, and after playing with them last night, here are my unfiltered thoughts. Please read until the very end, trust me. I might just be saving your wallet (lol)..

In terms of the playing feel of these shuttles, I'll only review the two most important characteristics. If you guys have any questions, please feel free to ask me below.

  1. Durability
  • Of course, I have to start with the characteristic this shuttlecock is most hyped for. I have seen other reviews from people regarding the NCS Pro, and from most of these reviews the one thing I have noticed the most is that the durability of the Pros are lacking. People complained that the NCS Pro's were overhyped, and that after one feather breaks off, the flight path basically makes playing with it unplayble. From personal experience, the durability of these heavily surprised me. It took two hours of straight playing to damage one of the feathers, and even after it got damaged, playing with them wasn't a struggle. It took roughly 6 games of singles to ruin the shuttle completely, with 3 stems completely detaching from the shuttle making it unplayable.
  • Though I will admit, one thing that I noticed is that after around 3 games I noticed that the circular shape of the feathers started to deform into a very slight oval shape. Fixing this was nothing hard though, you just have to squeeze it a bit to return it back to its original shape after every few rallies. Even when I noticed the start of the deformation, there was no sign of damage on the feathers themselves. Comparison with Commonly Used Shuttles in Queueing (XP2 Silver and Ling-Mei 10): The durability of these are way better than the commonly used LM10s and XP2 Silvers. It takes around 10 smashes or even less to damage a feather of the LM10s, and the moment that happens, the flight path and speed become too unpredictable and inconsistent.
  • Rating and Final Thoughts: 10/10. Didn't exceed my expectations, but it did satisfy them. Got what I was expecting from the hype of these shuttles, and I can fully vouch for the durability of these. I am satisified.
  1. Hitting Feel/Feedback
  • This was immediately the first thing me and my friend noticed. The feedback was so crisp and you could really feel the direction you're hitting the shuttle. For those who have used high end feather shuttles before, you know what I'm talking about.
  • Comparison with Commonly Used Shuttles in Queueing (XP2 Silver and Ling-Mei 10): Again, I can say that these have way better hitting Feel than LM10s and XP2 Silvers. After a few rallies, they start to feel quite “hollow”, in comparison the NCS Maxes where I could really feel the weight of the ball behind every swing and the feedback was crisp and instant.
  • Rating and Final Verdict: 10/10. Even after around 1 hour and 30 hours of straight playing, the shuttle retains 80-90% of its crisp hitting feel.
  1. Price to Quality Ratio
  • A tube of NCS Maxes cost around 1,100, whereas a tube of XP2 Silvers costs around 1,200-1,300, yet NCS Maxes perform better in every aspect compared to XP2 Silvers and LM10s. Playing with the NCS Maxes feel like playing with a high-end feather shuttle.
  • From the title, the reason for this post all boiled down to this: The one thing I'm hoping for in the near future is that these shuttles get recognized by queueing groups across the country, and hopefully, start implementing these shuttles. There is quite literally no reason you'd choose an XP2 Silver/LM10 over the NCS Max, and I personally believe that implementing these shuttles in queueing groups would significantly lower the cost of ball fees per game. I'm really hoping that the NCS Maxes get the recognition they deserve, because I'm sure that all, or most of our wallets are being affected by the price increase of feather shuttles (lol).

Please, to those who read this, get a tube and try it for yourself. You will not regret it. To those who read this, please spread the word, because I sincerely believe these shuttles are the right financial investment for queueing groups. I'm 100% sure players will also find the playing experience with these shuttles more enjoyable compared to feather shuttles.

Arcsaber 11 Play

So today I finally bought the Yonex Arcsaber 11 Play and honestly, it feels amazing already 🎉

The first thing I noticed was how light and comfortable it feels compared to my previous racket.

The balance and control feel really smooth.

I bought it from an offline store for ₹3050/- while the online price was around ₹2800.

Still, I preferred paying ₹250 extra for peace of mind because nowadays many people face fake racket issues online.

At least offline, I could properly check the grip, frame quality, hologram, and overall finish before buying.

Some key features of the racket:

• Medium flex shaft for balanced power and control

• Isometric head shape for a larger sweet spot

• Slim shaft design for faster swings

• Head-balanced feel which improves shot control

• Lightweight and beginner/intermediate friendly

• Supports better accuracy in smashes and drop shots

Overall, I’m really excited to start playing with it and improve my game with this beauty 🏸🔥

Any tips, string recommendations, or playing suggestions are always appreciated 🙌

LF Players - Singles Practice, High Intermediate to Advance

Hello! Looking for players willing to court and shuttle share once a week for one hour, preferably at the 4 PM - 6 PM timeslot at Cubao PowerUp Centro Atletico.

Video for skill reference: https://youtu.be/VxkfuFg8cek?si=NvhbQv738DZ3fbTr

Preferably LF adults/college students

EDIT:

• Only looking for people willing to court share and shuttle share; not looking to have games with bets. :)

• Kind-of willing to adjust around the timeslots of 2 PM - 8 PM, just have to discuss as a group so we're all aligned.

• Not willing to play sa Taracourt 😭, medyo madulas dun.

• Please refer sa video for accurate skill reference if needed. We're working adults, not student athletes, so don't expect UAAP/collegiate levels/National player levels. 🫰

Leave a comment or PM for more details so we can discuss!

Rosa and Biñan area paampon naman 😁

Planning to buy a new Racket | Attack + Control

I'm Intermediate to Advance player, Started to play again after a year of break!

Need a 4U Head Heavy + Control racket, too head-heavy rackets are hard for me to show quick reflex but I do got strong attacking game!
Current shortlist- Astrox 88D GAME, Lining Helbertec Motor, Turbo Charging Z boost, Axeforce Cannon.

Offensive + Control Gameplay planning to switch to Doubles rear dominating game from singles! So need enough heavy to boost my attack power along with quick and easy control.
Would love to know about these and open to new suggestions.

Hi, this is Kai. I have a group of around 5-10 people playing badminton here in Metro Manila. We're mix of intermediate and beginner players. Nabuo kami dahil sa may nakilala sa court, friends and friend of friends.

We're looking for players who wants to join. We try to play once a week and we usually organize in MIA Sports Center in Pasay or in Makati, either The Zone, Dominance or Dragon smash.

Our group is friendly and hanap lang talaga kami kalaro para magawa siya atleast everyweek kasi minsan pagmay mga lakad yung iba kulang players and also for socialization na din.

For anyone interested, please dm me here or just leave a comment. Hope to see and play with you guys!🙂
