Ladies and gentlemen, the MD-13

Elongated design with many new groundbreaking features, now with twelve cargo bay doors per side for a 600% improved failure rate in flight, and with a revolutionary two engines in the tail it doubles mid-flight spontaneous hydraulic pressure relief. Truly only the best from McDD

Update! NASA X-59

Please support the NASA X-59 project to make it to 10k! We have now gotten to 1.5k and appreciate any support to get to the finish line.

I will happily support your project in return!

Read more about the X-59 here:

The X-59 Quesst is NASA's newest experimental aircraft, built with the goal of enabling supersonic flight over land by reducing the sound of sonic booms. Sonic booms are extremely loud, especially at close range. This makes commercial supersonic flight over land tough to approve, and has limited the potential market of prior supersonic aircraft such as Concorde. The X-59 packs several features designed to help lower the noise signature of sonic booms, including highly swept wings and an elongated nose that makes up nearly a third of the aircraft's length. One of the most interesting features is the lack of a forward-facing windscreen, replaced by a digital vision system in the cockpit.

The X-59 was designed by NASA and built by Lockheed Martin Skunk Works in Palmdale, California. After a series of ground tests, the X-59 completed its first flight on October 28, 2025. The Quesst mission team will soon begin community response testing over the U.S., gathering feedback on perceived noise levels to better understand how aircraft noise impacts communities. The data gathered though this research will help regulators establish guidelines for supersonic travel, with the end goal of dramatically reducing air travel time and making supersonic flight part of everyday life!

This minifigure-scale LEGO recreation of the X-59 aims to capture its unique design that almost seems to defy gravity. The model contains 925 pieces and measures approximately 9.8" wide and 32.8" long. The model features adjustable wing flaps and a spring-locking landing gear mechanism. It also has a removable windscreen, with an insertable test pilot minifigure.
